I placed my order for dv6-6114TX 3 days ago. LOL looking at the delivery and the problems worries me. Especially the fan and the problem with bios or idk.

Your dv6 dont have 3 years warranty? With package? Or juz laptop u bought?

I think they have 2 years because they only sell maximum 2 years on site =(.

don't worry.. you can watch 1080P movie if your external monitor support it.

Maybe u order after the promotion package with free 3 years warranty and free stuff.

Guys.. i have a butthurt. I plugged in my old crt monitor and The Witcher 2 still playable@1600x1200 with high setting.

HP! Y U NO MAKE 1600 SCREEN LIKE ENVY 14!.



I don't think u need high GPU memory to plug in to external.

Even if they need.. this GPU shared 4GB of system memory.. so if you have high speed memory i think it will help increase that framerate.

due to budget GPU, it may affect the quality, framrate as well.

Hello guys, I had received my DV6 on June22. But today i only have the time to unbox it.
I am having few problems and questions here.
1. I did not received the so called 3 years local warranty and mystery gift.
2.My dv6 cant read some chinese word (How to setting?)
3.My storm player cant open rmvb files (Sth of codec problems?)
4.When i plug in my 2TB WD to the 3.0 port, i then I switch on the laptop, it will just stop at the HP there. It can be started up only if i plug it to the 2.0.(Any1 having this issue?)
5.Do i need to switch on the Hp automactic update?

BTW, the beats. solo headphones really not worth it, it dont sound better than my 200bucks Sony headphone.

for Problem 1, you should call Hp customer service if you purchase online. Hp warehouse 1 800 99 4899, HP M'sia 1 800 88 6998, Hp wwarranty center 03-23323443, HP Technician 1 800 88 8588

For problem 2, go to Control Panel, then goto Clock, Language, and Region. Choose Region and language option. Go to administrative, change the local system to "Chinese PCR' under "Current language for non-Unicode programms".
If still can not, goto Keyboards and language option, install Chinese language there.

For problem 3, eh.. I think storm player can open all format files.

For 4, stop at HP ?? it's not enough power ?

For 5, ask you like. Personally, I prefer you update window rather Hp updating.

Then, you can sell ur solo headphones ~
