We can not just blame MYTV broadcasting. There are few other party involved, one is MCMC. Now there are in the process of testing their transmission in term of power, coverage, audio, video, signal, picture mode etc. Be patient bro. biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

I am not blaming, their internal coordination (among MYTV, MCMC, etc) to speed up the process is necessary. Their promise to public in early 2015 failed. The way MYTV handling project is a good example of absolute fail ! The Indonesia DVB-T2 is up in operation so as Thailand. What Malaysia is going to wait ? Waiting until sun raising from West ?

MYTV only active in changing their official Facebook cover pictures frequently but not updated their progress promptly, how MYTV could urge public to trust them in running the project ? The Gunung Jerai is ON early in January and OFF again after a few days trial of the broadcast until today, they (MYTV) keep people in the north without any progress info available.

Tx Gunung Jerai @ 666 MHz ..... very very weak, not even to download channel info. Scan bar stop at 666 MHz around 5~6 sec. and no channel is downloaded. Nature of i-Mobile phone with DVB-T2 when it comes to detect the signal presence, stops a while to download channel info / properties. If the signal is strong, process of downloading channels info is faster.

I don't get it this morning and I suddenly able to receive it today. I wonder which transmission station it is from.

TVAH audio is working for me but I need to select the audio stream manually, the default stream is not working.

Transmitter tower located at Gunung Jerai, about Gurun area. I still remember during 2 January trial broadcast, someone as far as Kangar could received the signal using outdoor antenna and someone from penang said couldn't get the signal. However, this time seems opposite.

Anyway, happy DXing.

sebelum nak pasang new antenna need sedikit panduan. Kalau dulu dulu masa tahun 80han pakai anttena outdoor tak dapat sharp reception dirumah. will the new dvb-t2 broadcast provides better reception? Location rumah 17Km from gunung ulu kali and dikelilingi hutan dan bukit. If ok need advise on type of antenna

My advice is you have to experienced it yourself, DVB-T2 is in digital form. Either you got it (1) or nothing (0). Make it simple, if your area coverage is below average, you may experienced same situation like Astro during rainny days, a screen full of mosaic.

Gunung Pulai MYTV transmission is down at the moment since 4 days ago. Any body knows when it will be up again. What is the reason behind its.
*
Reason: MYTV kerja sambil lewa, contract awarded to uncompetitive organisation

Gunung Serapi is transmitting well. The picture is crystal clear. I had to really reposition the antenna to finally get a good signal. Using amplified indoor antenna.
Wanted to attached some photos but I cannot remember how to. haha

May I know the distance your receiving location to the transmitting tower ?

Google says my distance is about 20KM. I got signal strength and quality ranging from 60 TO 80. Today there is no signal. Felt like a dream but luckily I took photos and videos so it was not a dream.

vmad.gif  Are they kidding me?

"Diperluas ke seluruh negara menjelang 2018...."

Which means remaining divisions of sarawak will need to wait until END OF 2018? (Judging from their past performance records, when they said 2018, it means end of the year)
*
When it says 2018, most probably earliest is 2022 in real. Put in mind that the promised schedule time is always DELAYED !

I know that TM is aggressively widening UNIFI coverage in Sarawak and being the infrastructure provider for MYTV they will also be installing the DTT repeaters. I believe they are looking at smooth launching of DTT in which HBBTV will also be available. Be patient, before we know it the year will pass us by very quickly.
*
If this is the way THEY expand the infrastructure, I am more willing to switch back to analogue tv, we are far behind (sudah ketinggalan zaman) Thailand where they have around 30 channels made free to air via their DVB-T2 platform ! Upon official launch MYTV, others has made ready to go for DVB-T3 !

HEVC [High Efficiency Video Coding] is an extension of the concepts in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC for supporting up to 8k Ultra HDTV. To be said part of DVB-T2.

It's too far to go up to that level for MYTV. Even standard HD of 16:9, RTM, TV3, NTV 7, 8TV, TV9 still find no way to upgrade to. A bit curious whether in financial trouble to purchase HD broadcast equipment ? They should wisely utilised this trial periods to broadcast HD and solving any technical problem(s) encountered. That's the reason and definition of TRIAL at least !

Now, these channels are stretched if viewing format set to 16:9 (except TVAH channel, default audio channel still silent. Viewers have to select second option for sound channel). I bet these broadcasters (except TVAH) will definitely continue with SD 4:3 format even after official launch. I didn't see any progress pertaining to picture quality so far.

Is there any LED TV come with DVB-T2 less than 32" ? I mean branded one. I know that Sony do not have. Most of branded found in SE Asia are minimum 32" which is too big for me. My dining room is small, 32" is too much.
