I urged all forumers in this section disclose the receiving location (Rx) respectively for any doubt arising to ease those who answer your question(s)

Note: I can get Brunei DVB-T2 digital transmission if I connect to my house antenna, but not with my mini antenna.

At Lutong area, I am able to receive one brunei RTB3 channel only, the rest low signal and heavy pixelation.

*All hail 28 elements yagi antenna amplified* Too bad still too far from Brunei. I rarely go to Lutong area in first place.
*
Saw this info (pic attached as following) at SHARP Brunei facebook that 1-11 channels and 5 radios via DVB-T2 a moment ago. Looks like they are ahead of Msia

U guys dapat signal very good eh?
ada tak sometimes sound suddenly high then back to normal? or visual terpecah 1-2 sec?

Sick of MYTV signal, concentrate on Thai DVB-T2 reception nowadays.

MYTV in Malaysia is a good example of failed implementation of DVB-T2 in ASEAN

How should the antenna be pointed at the direction of the transmission tower? Along the axis of the fishbone?

ill try change to MY, and try scan aagain.

That's the reason I am asking when you bought. I suspect firmware issue (not up-to-date).

MY broadcast via DVB-T solely in KL area for years before upgrade to DVB-T2. However Thailand never broadcast using DVB-T. They used DVB-T2 straight away (skipped DVB-T). IMO the firmware for MY region in your TV is only edited / limited to DVB-T (without DVB-T2); as for TH region is in DVB-T2 freq. range, by manufacturer.

I am using Thai brand i-Mobile smart phone (model # iQ 5.8 DTV) since 2014 where it has built-in DVB-T/T2 features (no external USB adaptor required). If I selected MY region, it will start scanning starting from DVB-T till DVB-T2 freq. range. However, if region selected = TH, it will scan only DVB-T2 freq. range, which appeared to be faster (shorter time to wait for completion of scanning).

Hunting for MYTV + Singapore DVB-T2 signal at Johor Bahru city centre using Thai brand mobile phone, model: i-Mobile iQ 5.8DTV, with built-in DVB-T2 features, on 06 April 2017.

The device is receiving UHF freq directly (not via mobile internet data !)

Conclusion,

1. MYTV signal weaker than Singapore

2. Satisfied with Singapore crystal clear pictures resolution; MYTV still didn't fully utilized DVB-T2 features (less HD content). Wording of "Siaran Ujian DTT" still appear on screen, bila nak habis siaran ujian ? Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand are far ahead of Malaysia in DVB-T2 implementation !

i-Mobile iQ 5.8 DTV review

Specification:

http://www.gsmchoice.com/en/catalogue/imob...IQ-5.8-DTV.html

Notes:

1. Don't expect much quality from Camera of this smart phone compare to iPhone or Samsung

2. DVB-T2 performance / reception is superb. This is main reason I bought this phone.

3. Capability of direct recording from DVB-T2 broadcast as mp4 clip.

Can record only one channel each time? Or can record multi channels on same frequency on the background?
One at each time.
