QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 23 2011, 06:20 PM) Okay, preliminary testing of what I have to work with on stock firmware without ROMs and rooting - done. that locker widget! been looking all over for it, what's the name please! As an iPhone 4 migrator, here's what I found. Things NOT in Android: 1) Something like activator (tasker comes close though, but no remapping of long press keys like vol long presses to track skipping) 2) Something like coverfl0w + backgrounder that works with Gingerbread (for aesthetics only really) 3) Something like action menu for URL shortening (for everything else, Smart Keyboard Pro is good enough) 4) SBSettings (the built in toggles are close, but not as customizable) 5) Air Video, as in THE Air Video. Things Android got I never had with iOS: 1) SMART FREAKING KEYBOARD PRO. This thing is awesome. 2) "Proper" alternative browsers - rather then shitty re-skins of Safari. 3) Widgets everywhere without killing off my RAM 4) Built in haptics (woo Samsung!) 5) Built in low battery mode (woo again Samsung!) 6) "Proper" email clients 7) Gesture locking that does NOT crash every few hours lol. 8) Statusbar notifications + that great smexy drawer Great Android alternatives for iOS hack programs: 1) Lockinfo -> Widgetlocker + Executive Assistant 2) Springflash -> TeslaLED 3) GoSMS/Chomp/Handcent -> BiteSMS And, surprise, surprise. Guess there ARE reasons why Apple could got so pissed with Samsung. Try pressing Power + Home lol. [attachmentid=2291829] Instant screenshot? Wao, now what does that remind you of... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Nao, to try ROMs. Litening or Villain eh... QUOTE(OrangePillow @ Jun 23 2011, 09:24 PM) To all new android user, what u all need is patient and passion.. my previous phone was n85 so this is my first time using android. can tell me the name of your widgets? what u guys needs are 1) contant reading 2) spent sometime 3) willing to take risk 4) ask for guidance 5) if possible read all the information in the first page heres my screen for today... [attachmentid=2292076][attachmentid=2292078] been flashing my phone here and there, finally got bored and gonna wait for cyanogenmod rom, now more interested in beautifying my phone with themes/apps/widgets/games any recommendation for nice widgets? besides the one on fiz page~ |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 23 2011, 08:24 PM) Wei, any of you guys having trouble with the Android Market? Specifically apps being bought but getting stuck at "authorizing" and not being installed. Did you try to clear the cache for market? Seems to be a common problem. You could try titanium backup and use the fix market option. |

just test drive galaxy s2 today at midvalley. Very light, screen superb and blazing fast! After dinner went and tried HTC Sensation at the garden. Better solid build, screen normal, got 3D effect when scrolling screen, but upon entering application screen can notice some lag on it. Might be just the test unit though

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 23 2011, 10:45 PM) u can afford SGS 2 but u cant afford $1.19 app(maggie goreng)? most young ppl are now materialistic and treat phone as one of status symbol.if more than $5 still acceptable Added on June 23, 2011, 10:45 pm will look at that..how about call logs? usually, they buy expensive smartphones using epp or telco plans. end up disposable income is less. |
