Abit NV8 (Nforce 4 4x)

Sempron 2800

0532 TPMW

1.45v

325HTT x 8 multi

2.6ghz

stock cooling

Ram Twinmos doublesided 512mb = 2.5-3-3-7 1T

Memdiv = 266

= runnig at ddr436

LDT = 3x

Question : how is this performance compared to Week 0527 xxDC

anyone knows ???

bought the MSI NForce 4 4x = MSI K8N Neo3 to test but somehow the BIOS does not show vcore settings

So decided to stick with abit (tried and tested ) Jap capacitors

temps at stock quite hotler,...48-50c nonaircon room

bte did you know that the nv8 has vdimm up till 3.2v

BTW, prime stable? Vdimm until 3.2V? Not too bad!

is AMD Sempron 2800+ 64 256KB s754 is using the same heatsink n fan as AMD Athlon 64??

if im using 1 x 512MB Kingston Value Ram, stock CPU fan to OC to 2.4Ghz.. wat is the temperature n voltage??

it is single ram or double sided??

300 x 8 = 2.4Ghz

bside using NF3-250 chipset.. is the latest chipset of NF4-4X better than NF3-250 in term of overclock n stability??

i forgot already, very dependable on the vcore also

ram doesn't affect maximum overclocking since the ram/clockspeed is always running with divider.

I have an Nf8 with an older D0 core semp 2600+. With a single-sided cheap-ass pQI pc3200 cl3 I got 2634/ram:10 out of it (superpi 1m @ 34s!!!). Now with several double-sided sticks (an identical Pqi with twice the chips, double-sided D5) it fails to go much over 2400/ram :12 :S Only oc's when I set ram to 100mhz+ :D
Should one try Tccd orsmt? Any cheap ones that work decently? Do the newer cores have significantly improved ram compatibility?

TCCD is quite good if you have the budget. With better tweaking of the memory controller (not the rAm), you can do DDR600 with double sticks at 1T timing.

KVR is very dependable on what chipset Kingston uses on them.

The ones with D43 chipsets can do DDR500 easily.

If you read memory related topics in this section you will get the idea how high different types of chipsets can be clocked.

Nice looking board you got there. Is 325mhz the highest it could attain? Can you increase chipset(nf3) voltage? How high do ram/cpu voltages go?

hmm...if i do folding 24/7 can it be considered as stable?? tongue.gif cause now running at 2640mhz@330HTT with Vcore 1.55v...how bout you?? i cant seem to reach 338HTT...my board cant go stable with it...is yours running on 3:2 devider as well? why is that people can get lower super-pi timings than me even though their clockspeed is lower than mine? cry.gif

I found out that reason alot ppl stuck at 337-340HTT is due to high temp of the mobo chipset. Try mod a delta FF to it. Sure can pass 350HTT. biggrin.gif

If you can fold, that means your system is stable but only for normal usage. It might not be the same under stressed condition.

Anyway, I'm using the 5:6 divider.

There are people who can get lower superpi timing eventhough their clockspeed is lower is because of
- bigger L2 cache (if they're Athlon64)
- RAM with tight timings
