Well, this is interesting and irritating at the same time. In order to ensure I am getting as fast a connection as possible, I try to make sure I am connected using a few specific IPs, and avoiding a few others. This often requires me to disconnect and reconnect once in a while to switch IP addresses. Today, I found that I can no longer do this. Disconnecting and reconnecting cannot. Rebooting modem also cannot. Switching off modem and unplugging it for 10 seconds also cannot. The only way I managed to switch IPs was to shut down and unplug for the modem for a good 5 minutes. Anyone else facing this problem?

TM, everyday you find new ways to make me hate you more. Very soon, when I lease is over, I will have the great pleasure of terminating my streamyx account. The thought the my money will no longer add to your bottom line will please me greatly. A pox on the lot of you.

did undersea cable break again? so frustrating. At least email us if anything go wrong again and i cant change to mobile broadband cause the coverage is horrible in my home. im screwed

Ugghh,the download speed is just horrible for me right now and I"m using Unifi.I can BARELY reach 30 now(MU,RS,FS).For some reasons unknown to me,I seem to get full speed on mediafire and rapidshare(VERY random).MU is just horrible now.I just can't seem to get the full download speed that I used to have.Meh,knowing TMNUT,they must be doing their "maintenance" without notice ,as usual.

This morning I was still able to switch IP after discovering that I can't log in MSN. Sometimes I'll get stuck at 118... range for a few restart before finally changed to 60.53. and I remember getting this IP for 2-3 times continuously, and finally 175..

Seems like it takes a few restart to switch to another range

Mediafire is the best so far. Free servcie allows multistream and no limit except witing for few seconds.

But speed for Streamyx
50kBp/s max sometimes dropping to 20+kB/s
That is even with 4-8 simultaneous connections.

i dun understand, i am not getting slow speed DLing from DDL host site like file.soni+c or media+fire. Its the frequent disconnection halfway thru that drives me crazy. I dun own a premium acc thus i can't resume. It freaking comical when the freaking dsl blinks every 2 min and i had to get me a new ip to restart the damn downloading. Crazy unstable screamyx line.

Tat aside, dun think its related to rains. My condition happens quite randomly. I dun get constant dc when i torrent with VPN. But when i try to ddl without vpn, it sometimes keep on dc-ing. Maybe its a new advanced trick by TM to stop us DDL. wat u think?

DDLs are surprisingly brisk using JDownloader and multi segmented DLs... FSC and the usual suspects yield lousy speeds on single connections, so multiples are the way to go...

I'm also very frustrated with my streamyx. Very lag. Sometimes when I watch youtube, the buffering stuck at the middle of the video, need to refresh. Download seems to be quite okay, but surfing, watching youtube, very slow.

Even my wife Maxis BB also faster and more stable compared to my home streamyx.
