What do u mean by our car butt can be modified to open? Are you trying to say that our car's boot can be opened by the remote control instead of using the key?

QUOTE(shunryu @ Aug 20 2011, 04:39 PM)
This is covered in the User's Manual
but anyway, I'll summarize it as simple as possible

D mode (Without paddle shift) : gear shifts AUTOMATICALLY from 1st gear to 5th gear

D mode (With paddle shift) : gear shifts MANUALLY up or down to driver input, holds the gear for a short period of time before changing into full auto shifting (cannot upshift on low speed, cannot downshift on high speed)

S mode (Without paddle shift) : gear shifts AUTOMATICALLY from 1st gear to 4th gear only (spared 5th gear for better acceleration in overtaking etc)

S mode (With paddle shift) : gear shifts MANUALLY according to your input, it only shifts when you press downshift/upshift (shift hold engages for each gear can be revved until redline)

Try to understand your gearbox better before concluding that it being defected  smile.gif
*
Hmm, thanks for clarifying but I do know what's the use of the S mode it's just that I'm confuse on how to fully engage the the manual driving mode in certain scenario.

Well for example, here's my scenario I was trying to use the S mode upon accelerating from the toll. Upon reaching the toll (decelerating) I engage to S mode (from D) and after exiting the toll booth I started accelerating (in S mode with quite light foot on the pedal) and what I realize is that the gear upshift automatically to 2nd or 3rd gear before I could upshift it with my paddle shift. Does that mean that I didn't manage to activate the manual mode via paddle shift mode?? Perhaps I should 'tekan' the pedal more so it won't upshift so fast is it?

autoshift will up to 3rd gear only.. nelson88, u have to engage manual gear upon change to S mode.. ensure the M gear appear first if wish to drive in manual mode.. smile.gif

OK, I'll try it again, thanks bro smile.gif

butt?? tongue.gif I think if you're referring to the remote boot trunk release, perhaps you can refer here - PO-40 Boot/Trunk Release and here's the video

I understand your scenario
If you didn't want your transmission to upshift automatically via S mode, you would have to shift to S mode (from D) then press the left paddle shift once, it should show "M1" in the gear indicator
With that, you should be able to rev every gear freely until redline (full manual mode)

BUT

If you insist on using S mode automatically (without paddleshifting), then you will have to WOT (wide on throttle) to rev every gear up but it will automatically upshift at about 7k rpm
WOT in D mode will only upshift at 6k rpm (I've tried this)

Conclusion is that S mode is more aggressive, and that the gas pedals sensitivity affects the gear shifts
You have to be familiar of the gas pedal,
10~20% pedal force = gearbox upshift about 2k~3k rpm (from standstill)
30~40% pedal force = gearbox upshift about 4k rpm (from standstill)
50% pedal force = gearbox downshift 1 gear (while crusing)
70% pedal force = gearbox downshift 2 gears (while crusing)
100% WOT = gearbox engages shift hold after downshifting, allows higher rev until 6k rpm (D mode) 7k rpm (S mode)

If you drive fast enough, S mode will autoshift to 5th gear as well.

1.Power Off your player

2 Press VOLPUSH(the center knob), UP and DOWN button together. Dun release all 3 buttons and then Power on the unit.

3 Then press the Right button beside VOLPUSH. It will show VSP and it will change according to ur speed VSP 0 if idle.

Downside is your CD player cannot play music or other functions. Just solely VSP. Revert back to default by power off and on your player. laugh.gif

ya, but since the VSP function is there. It would be a good option if Honda provides an external VSP display that can be attached to the dash.

I've tried your steps, however :
It only shown "DIAG" in the display after I power on with the 3 buttons pressed..
Pressing the right button had no response, left button just showing every data the display can input (but not VSP)
How come ar? icon_question.gif

Then you should look straight and no where else, not even the VSP display.

Tested, it works as described by ZeneticX.

But the VSP seemed to have gone nuts once past 140km/h.

mine just went nuts to 30-50km/h.

The analogue gauge should be much more accurate.
