Correct. Weight is the biggest factor in car performance.
Which is also the reason why most racing car have most of its weight shaved off.
But we're talking about stock cars here..

For those who wondering why Myvi could have better pickup/acceleration and could be faster than us was due to :
1) Manual transmission - a manual myvi has lower transmission loss and have more of its engine power transfer to the wheels
2) Weight - weight of a manual myvi is only 950KG, our NHC 1160KG (That's whole 210KG difference! shakehead.gif )

Both of this is limitation to our NHC, give NHC a manual transmission and 100KG off it would be a MUCH MORE fun car to drive... Although NHC has power, but the weight is restricting it from performing.
However, if the Myvi is auto, we can rape it anytime  brows.gif

Nevertheless, why do we care if Kelisa / Myvi passes us?  whistling.gif

You have a point there, shunryu. I'm just curious because I thought we always rape manual/auto myvi when it comes to near top speed run. Which 160kph IMO is already near the limit for a 1.3cc car. Well, we can conclude 2 things.

1. Modded Myvi
2. Manual Myvi

Manual Myvi could do more than 160kmh because of the shorter gear ratio in the manual trans & having 5 gears
...

One day I was driving my top speed down the highway
Then i start to chase this Vios J with 17" wheels which i highly suspect was manual
Why?
The fella car was loaded with people yet he could do 180kmh easily
I was alone, and paddle shifting all the way only managed to keep up
He pulled me about 2 car lengths apart blink.gif

How I wish there's manual trans for NHC here sad.gif

Yeah... It's sad case
I wonder if importing manual gearbox for NHC from thailand is possible?

If not, I can only think of improving handling now..

bro, what's SLIPSTREAM?

Can anyone describe/explain to me in a bit details. What does it means by shorter gear ratio? And what does it implies.

I know this sound weirds and dumb. But stock to stock. Myvi compared to City. City wins in terms of power hand down right? 1.3cc vs. 1.5cc

Cause I was flooring the accelerator at 80kph and accelerate all the way to 160kph. With a Myvi following closely behind and overtook me quite easily.

That's look quite impossible. But it would be a complete different story if the Myvi is modded right?

No exhaust mod. Dunno about the engine. Opinion? Stock to stock, no chance? So must be modded?
*
hey bro ,myvi pick is up is very fast. Our NHC pickup is kinda slow.

Even a normal myvi with lil mods can reach 160 easily. But theres no way they follow us if you had did 180kmh or 190kmh..unless he mod his myvi kau kau

SLIPSTREAM
An area of reduced air pressure and forward suction immediately behind a rapidly moving vehicle.
Especially when awaiting an opportunity to overtake in motor racing.

HI, I have the 2006 Honda City VTEC.
Recently I changed to 195/55 R15 tyre. The original pressure for 185/55 R15 is front 220, rear 210.
So, what should be the new tyre pressure for 195/55 R15 ? Appreciate all replies.

Hi guys. Just wanna ask a few questions regarding the battery of a new City.

My friend collect his City last 2 weeks but yesterday, his battery indicator shows need charging. So he can't start his car and we have to jump start.

For 2 weeks, the car is only moving on weekend. But he starts his car everyday, every morning for at least 10 minutes without moving.
Is there an issue with the battery, alternator or he actually need to move the car?

As i drive all my Protons, i don't need to move the car, running the engine is enough to recharge the battery. Since i didn't drive any City before, so i cant say much about it. Also i see the battery size is only NS40. Can change to bigger size, NS60 perhaps?

Thanks in advance.

Slipstream is an aerodynamic effect
Try riding a bicycle closely behind a big car / lorry, don't you feel relaxed and not require much energy to cycle?
That was because the wind resistance was blocked by the vehicle in front, so you take lesser force to accelerate
Same goes to car, tailgate the car in front at high speed to create this slipstream effect..
Advantage:
1) since you take lesser force to break through wind resistance, you get LOWER fuel consumption tongue.gif
Disadvantage:
1) vehicle in front might emergency brake... shakehead.gif

Hi guys. I had a bit of accident this morning while reversing out of the car porch.

Do I have to replace the whole unit? The mirror and the indicator lights/casing are fine, just the black plastic.

SC or outside better/cheaper? How much roughly? Thanks!

Doubt they will sell only the black plastic to you.

Usually it will come as one unit, and it will require spraying to match your body colour as well.
And that will have the wire, as well.

I would suggest you to go to the SC to fix if you want ori parts.
If you don't care about ori parts and you are tight on budget, you can look for outside accessories shop.

Actually I've stopped keeping track of these things, as long as I stick to the regular petrol station visit schedule, half a tank every 4 or 5 days, I'm satisfied enough.
