For me (sounding like a broken record), I think Stewart Downing is the best left sided crosser since the time when Beckham was still the best on the right. You have to look at what players we already has in the team before judging what player is not talented. Downing might not be a 'Ronaldo/ Mata', but if we have a good header like Carroll leading our offense, having a good crossing left winger in our team will be a big plus. I would like to have Mata anytime, but capturing Downing's signature should be KK's priority.

Stewart Downing really that good? Never really see him play before . But guess that Liverpool has been tracking this guy for long time.

From 05- 08, he used to be getting 50 odds game under his belt. 08/09 season and 09/10 season, he is only getting 40+ and we know that out of those 40+, some are actually coming off the bench and he had been in and out of the treatment room with torres so frequent that it affects the result of the team. We were called two-men team whenever we lose matches because he was dating nurses in treatment room. Last season, he only managed 24 games. As statistics show, he is getting lesser and lesser game.

What word is there to eat?I would still sell him if someone comes up with 30m or so. Why not?
