Yes. For only because they ostracize Rajagobal's  comment by claiming they DO support Malaysia. But then proving otherwise by not attending the world cup qualifying match.

if accept that Rajagobal is wrong, then you must attend the match. If not, what rajagobal said about you is justified.

have it ever occur to you that there are casual NT fans but passionate Liv fans. Hence they went to see Liv but at the same time cheers for NT as well?
Simple is it??? Does one that support NT have to go to every NT matches yawn.gif or be as "patriot" like you whistling.gif

there are no more than 10 home senior national team matches a year. This year there only Hong Kong, Myanmmar and Taiwan. Then its Singapore. Why would a casual NT supporters deliberately miss any of it?

Still talking about the game huh! Well, back to transfer rumour. Since Enrique is keen on Arsenal, we might be getting Aly Cissokho for left-back. Both Safee's goals coming from the left side so kinda related back to the game again. smile.gif

The thing about the ultras is this. Often they come across as intimidating. This is just my opinion but I think it's the same with ultras of any football club e.g. in Spain and Italy.

Funny thing about passion is it cannot be bought or forced. I've a friend who loves heavy metal music and he keeps urging me to listen to songs he likes. The problem is I hate metal and try as I might, I cannot bring myself to understand his enthusiasm for it. Similarly it's very hard to describe a passion for a football team. A passion for something is built over time. If someone is expected to be passionate about watching the national team play (to the extent they attend every home match), they have to monitor the progress of the team, and know the players. This is why I feel what Rajagopal said is counterproductive to what's being done to promote the national side. Criticism alone is a negative. At least offer opinions or suggestions to make it constructive.

well.. thats what the ultras do.. they intimidate....

But if you want to build passion towards the national team, there is no other faster way that i know of, than to soak the ultras's passion.

its not for everyone.. sure... but just give it a try to observe... just seat within observation distance from them... see the voluntary determination to coodination..... soak the passion and orgasm in their face and voice.... and this passion is easily infectious...

their only objective is to support the team. they dont really care 100% about the match. The captains usually face the crowds to coordinate for the whole 90 minutes. When you do that, you will not wasting you energy on overemphasizing on the team's mistake. Supporting them more is the higher priority.

They are loud. But its nothing that a Anfield Kop attendee cant handle. That is what stadium football is all about.

But you probaply want to hide the tattoo though tongue.gif

my take on all this is pretty simple, lets have an objective look at all that has transpired..and no, I am not talking about marching to KL Sentral ala Bersih conspiracy...

Incident 1: Dumb dude thinking he has balls, walks into a stadium with a ManUnited (see I am being respectful) jersey with Rooney's name (see again I am being respectful) and goads the LFC fans when he should have been "respectful" and enjoy the game as per a normal human being would. You don't need to friggin cheer, but if you are there with a family, relative or friend who is a supporter, show some respect. Is it so hard to ask that from a ManUnited (see) fan? I guess so
... then he becomes a hero. And more than 4,000 disrespectful idiots actually supports him and of all people a professional like Rooney (see). I used to laugh when people tell me that ManUnited fans are not arrogant, I suppose my laughter is justified when these things happens.

Incident 2: Our national coach accuses liverpool fans for not displaying the kind of support for the Malaysian team during the match and that if we had more support, they would have won. I seriously am not going to even go there. I expected more from him and seriously it only puts a stamp on the fact he is either blind, deaf, asleep or just a plain old ManUnited fan (see, more respect i'm showing) trying to score browny points for his love for his club. I wonder if ManUnited plays Malaysia and did exactly the same thing he would have heaps of praise for them. I dare wager a bet on it.
You are a professional, if you wanted more support then ask for it in a nicer way. Why hold the Liverpool fans responsible for an unseen slight? Sorry, he may be the Malaysian coach but he's request or more like a challenge (the way he put it) leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. No, I won't go, what for, he was rude. simple as that.

And lastly, I am proud to see so many of us there cheering on the Malaysian team together with cheering for Liverpool. At least we didn't boo them, we conducted ourselves with more professionalism that our head coach and yes, no matter what people say.. they can jolly well bugger off if they think they can have a witch hunt on our fans just because they deem our support of more than 80K people is a bigger target.

Go make some noise in the rest of the threads with the rest of the clubs if you want to show impartiality towards not aiming all that "butt-hurt" at LIVERPOOL. (said more in disappointment than in anger)

YNWA, and yes that also goes to all the haters, you may not like us, but it doesn't stop us from liking you, so peace.

Do tell me if I am wrong - I don't want to miss out and my kaki in KL will slaughter me if I am following the wrong source.

SINGAPORE, 16 July 2011: All tickets for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Qualifying Round Two first-leg match between Singapore and Malaysia have been sold out on the first day of sales at the Jalan Besar Stadium South Gate.

With a queue forming at around 10.30pm the night before, it was no surprise when the ticketing booth at the South Gate of Jalan Besar Stadium had the ‘SOLD OUT’ sign displayed at 2.20pm this afternoon. Fans of all ages came together and stood in line, eagerly awaiting their chance to purchase the match tickets while some others were singing and cheering in unison as they waited for their turn.

Ridzal Saat, FAS Deputy Director for Marketing and Competitions said: “The queue started late on Friday night at around 11.30pm and the crowd progressively grew bigger as it neared the 8am sale time. By 2.20pm, all tickets on sale were sold out and we would like to thank the fans for coming out to support the Lions. It would be a wonderful sight to see Jalan Besar Stadium in a sea of red and we would like to encourage all fans to come decked in red to support our Singapore National Team in the match against Malaysia next Saturday.”

We now look forward to the match on the 23rd of July 2011 and would once again like to thank the fans for their support.

...Le fu? Quick check, this is applying to the tickets available in M'sia or this is the actual queue in Singapore? I read that they said that only PR/Singaporeans can buy last weekend so I thought they would at least keep some for the M'sian fans in SG...

Aduh, really major bummer if no more ticket... Friend sure bising already, sigh.
