QUOTE(Duke Red @ Jun 23 2011, 11:38 AM) If Hulk goes anywhere now, it will be to Chelsea. In my opinion, Hulk & Cavani can easily adapt to Kenny's pass and move system. Both can go deep to get the ball, both have pace (like Downing), even Hulk can play both wings and as striker, both are physically strong, good finisher and decisive. Not just because they had a good season and help their respective club achieve Champions League football, won cup final, etc but i think they're fit on what our owner look for, young highly rated footballer ( i know both are not Brits tho ). homesick? i suppose not.. but maybe yes.. they know themselves.. with Suarez on our side, surely Cavani can adapt to Liverpool environment. Same goes to Hulk, with Lucas and Aurelio will make him feel at home. Mascherano is history. Well, Kenny surely know whats best for the team..Thing is not about signing players purely on reputation but players who will fit into King Kenny's system. You mentioned Hulk and Cavani but why? Just because they had a good season? I haven't seen them play much so I can't comment. Dalglish had made good decisions when he was manager last and I trust his instincts. Downing may not be world class (though Mozzie may disagree), but he is adept to the Premiership and he is left footed. We don't have many of those around. With foreign players, it's always a gamble. Will they be able to adapt to the physical nature of the league? Will the get homesick? Will their families be able to settle in to life in England, especially Liverpool which is the Malaysian equivalent of say... Johor? Mascherano's wife anyone? Dalglish is making what I consider to be safe signings, mostly - players who he knows can or have already adapted. well, just my opinion.. just to fresh up the day.. so hot today la in KL.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjjro2Tw8QU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RHDSPhHNhQ This post has been edited by account_manager: Jun 23 2011, 04:18 PM |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Jun 23 2011, 04:26 PM) Cool. I just haven't seen enough of them to know if they'll be a hit in the Premiership but you need to take risks sometimes. Thing about signing forwards now is that we already have Carrol and Suarez in our books. N'Gog may or may not leave but you get the feeling that a world class forward may not be content in a rotation. Not saying that either Hulk or Cavani are world class but I'm thinking whoever it is, expectations need to be managed. We don't need a bunch of primadonas demanding for first team football which is why I keep saying that a player's attitude is to be given as much consideration as his ability. Samuel Eto for example is world class but his attitude stinks. they must really love LiverpoolIn terms of environment I've always wondered how players from Spain settled. From a country boasting beautiful beaches filled with lovely women working on their tans, the warm sun and delightful cuisine to the gloomy overcast sky above Albert Dock. Big difference here in itself. Also let's not forget the high income tax in England either. If someone were to trade all that for Liverpool, they must really love Liverpool. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Jun 24 2011, 03:51 AM) I din know a joke can turn out to be a heated discussion. To make things worse, I dont know that people take things so seriously. Meireles can join Maroon 5.. hehe.. Alright, my bad. Anyway, forget the Gerrard issue. Since u guys are not up for discussion, let's just focus on transfer rumours... Meireles is heading the exit. Newspaper today reported so! |

instead of Clichy.. why not Leighton Baines? quite number of players transfer from blue to red and likewise (example Barmby, abel xavier, etc..)
since Henry is focusing on English talent, an English leftback suits Baines for Liverpool.. just an info, Baines started at young age with Liverpool under the Centre of excellence.. but later did not make the cut.. its time for him to return to his root.. i'd say 10mil to 15mil.. Fergie is eyeing Cavani.. damn!! http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/man...-cavani-1715791 This post has been edited by account_manager: Jun 25 2011, 12:41 AM |

QUOTE(kazuki85 @ Jun 28 2011, 03:20 PM) Not to put you down but bro, Reject shop giving away free training passes if you purchase any RM50 worth of LFC merchandise if not mistaken. no worries.. wat u say is correct oso.. just that i'm in the middle of company crisis.. thats why lorr.. nevamind.. sorry to all fellow reds..RM600 is TOO much for 4 RM58 tix + FREE training passes. For me, the training passes should be worth lesser than the tickets itself, because : 1. It is free, and it is given out in alot of places now (Reject Shop, Courts, Std Chartered Bank, etc) 2. The date of the training is a weekday, and in general shouldn't be expensive compared to a weekend. Plus weekdays means less people able to make it due to work/study/etc. 3. It's just a training session, not the real match itself. Just see our heroes kicking the ball around. Not enough money please go claim from your company. I tot company trips are supposed to be subsidized? |

would be great if Kenny try to bring back Paco Ayestaran to fresh up his backroom staff.. or that Clement guy which AVB release him from his post.. i bet Steve Clarke wouldn't mind for another ex colleague to join him in our new set up..
just my opinion.. |
