Normally tint shop will settle your so called 'summon', they will take out the tint first and ask you to let JPJ check, after JPJ approved, then tint shop will re-install the tint. brows.gif

One of the method for dark tint. The other one is to replace all the window, front and rear screen with totally no tint. Send to JPJ, come back refix your original one. brows.gif

If follow JPJ's standard, most of the tinted car will kena warning, unless you install cheapo tint such as stock blm tint. tongue.gif

so it depends on you are unlucky or not to be blocked by JPJ.

Even the most expensive tint (e.g: VKool), after a few years will have few tiny bubbles here and there.
Tiny not a big deal, but not until like the one eric having. doh.gif

u suggest u go install new tint
go for a better tint...search for good brand, high UVR,IRR and low VLT(around the same as your car)
but most importantly good workmanship(very important, see who is installing, young kids thn walk away)
if u dn't want JPJ trouble ...u just change the rear mirror only
and choose those VLT% that is almost the same as saga...or close enough

this is caused by bad workmanship....they let those youngster to install their car
those youngsters only take 30-45minutes to install their car....too fast
which is why only after few years already bubbles comes out...sometime even faster

I would blame on the bad workmanship instead of youngsters.
Some youngsters really have good workmanship.
Nvm bout that, obviously this argument youngsters vs workmanship never ends.

But I would say workmanship really important. Always go for recommended tint shop.
Macam luck pulak.

bad workmanship and youngsters are same....because u need an experienced install to install for u
there's a reason why car original tint is bad...all because of bad workmanship
why?...because imagine how many cars are produce by proton each day?...and they have to install tint for every car
so they only have very little time for every car...which result the bad quality
the place i go ...they only install MAX 5 car per day...no matter expensive or cheap tint
my car goes in 8AM...he only finish installing it by 3PM
he just slowly using his heatgun to do it...until now...no such bubble and colour coming out

Agreed with most of your point. Only still disagree with the bad workmanship = youngsters.
True you need experienced installing tint.
If those youngsters careful/SaiSam/Teliti enough and do it slowly, I dont see why we couldnt give them a chance. One day those youngsters also will become Sifu one.

for me it really depends on how much time they spent on your car
if they spend only 30-45min to install whole car = bad workmanship
they need to spend like hours to install it in order for it to last
but most young installer out there that i see...all of them all want to install fast fast...no patients at all or care abt quality or lazy

True true! I saw a *green colour* tint shop at Bandar Puteri, Puchong. Finished tint in 30minutes for a Saga size car.
I was like WTF! Are you guys using robot? machine?

Shop owner: No la, we all professional.
