its a sign that they are trying to be like China in withholding information from the public huh... wonder if the TM shares will be affected by these actions..... all give back their internet and subscribe to Maxis or the other broadband (forgot the name) iso TM...... LOL

I still can access. Not using google dns. Maybe they only block for google dns?

For those who can't change DNS, try to change it in your router/modem.

Not sure if this is discussed before. There are so many other ways to get around this. Even in China with their great firewall also can get around.

How:
1)VPN
2)IP Proxy

3)use other uploading websites? so many more in this world. mediafire, demonoid etc? Impossible to blacklist all. Even in china also impossible to blacklist all.
4)Use IRC, usenet. This one even more power than torrent. Most pirate groups before they even release on torrent, they release on irc or usenet first. It's harder to trace. In fact usenet is almost impossible to trace. Learn it. Live it.

You can easily check which DNS servers have blocked the sites via nslookup :

EDIT : If swapping the DNS is not working for you on a TM service (Streamyx/Unifi), it might just be due to DNS caching. Close your browser + make sure you're on OpenDNS/GoogleDNS + run 'ipconfig /flushdns'. Then try pinging one of the blocked sites and you should see the IP address for the domain next to the domain name. If DNS name resolution fails, try setting a static IP mapping in your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc hosts file. Worst case scenario is they route blackhole the IP addresses for those websites, then you will need a HTTP/SOCKS/PHP proxy/SSH tunnel/VPN to reach them.

Thanks for that nifty tool rivzanrp!

Looks like they're only doing DNS filtering for now..

Next step would be to properly IP block those addresses =(

Would they do that next i wonder..

EDIT: In case that happens, lets compile some proxy sites for safekeeping in case SHTF.... unless they block those too lol...

They have the firewalls in place to do HTTP header filtering on the Streamyx network (as we saw with the HTTP throttling last year). I think if they go full retard, we'll just compile a thread with every bypass method for each ISP + keep it updated smile.gif
