They did only say something about press freedom and not about internet content freedom.

No, not true, at least not two weeks ago, when I was most recently in China ... or any of the other times I've been there. Google works fine. The Chinese government has requested them to block certain search terms (about Tiananmen Square, Falun Gong, human rights, etc.) and I don't know whether they're doing that.
