Iinm, it doesn't work anymore since few forumers here recently purchased 3DS points using their CC, the banks charged them but the funds didn't appear at the eShop. Maybe I'm wrong though.

What this guy says. Still "peace of mind"? Or more serabut mind? What peace does it grant you knowing that you had to arrange your Wii U to go down south for repairs, just like your XB360?
*
My XBOX360 was brought in from Japan, not through local retailers.
If it died, it died. That's it, no cure.

I may get a local or an imported Wii-U, it's not important.
No one is hurt because I get whatever version I fancy.

Call me delusional, or whatever u think I am.
This issue is not worth debating any more.

Sure, whatever. I pray that you don't have to face any real problems with your "local warranty" Wii U that you'd finally see what "local warranty" here means.

And oh, my White Wii U kena blinking Blue Light of death which result in no image on HDTV while in Auckland.

Got back to shop there, shop give one to one replacement. That's a working warranty. Here? whistling.gif It's anyone's guess, I....errrr, guess.

just downloaded Mario Bros Wii U from eShop.

surprisingly the GamePad's D-Pad and buttons are especially comfortable for the controls in the game. either they refined the game itself or levels or everything in tandem.

initially thought of playing it mainly through Wiimote (for prolonged play time) ... but now i can see why it's not half bad using the gamepad after all!

P/S: finally understand where the "Oh yeah three coins!" comes from LOL

Played my friends Wii U.... damn fun.....

Is there official version in Malaysia? If not, how much are the shops selling the imported unit?

Is it region locked?

I've had my fair share of local warranties, most of them we're good. Guess it was just me being lucky.

I already checked the last few pages, no info (not the last 30 obviously).

The TS has an hopeless 1st post with ZERO info...

Maybe someone should take over and put the "usual" info on the first page.

Don't wait for Malaysia official set, just wasting your time. Opt for an imported set. The price will MOST LIKELY be the same. If you're thinking about warranty, don't bother as our friend stringfellow here said, Nintendo doesn't have a strong standing in Malaysia and if you do send them your faulty unit, you either have to wait months or get your faulty set returned and you'll likely just send it to a local repair shop and end up paying more. So why wait and be unsure of warranty. JUST GET ONE NOW!

Hi to all Wii U owners here,

Just a story to share with ya'll...

Last month my family and i went on a holiday in Perth, Australia.. We were there for 6 days.. a few months before the trip i have been following closely about the Wii U via IGN's website.. I really couldnt wait for it to arrive here in Malaysia or Singapore at least..

On our 2nd day in Perth me, my wife & 2 kids were walking around the city.. My wife said she wanted to check out Target so i told her to go ahead coz i need to have a smoke.. after having my 'suck balls' tasting australian marlboro ciggie, i went inside Target to meet up with wifey.. she was checking out the women's section when she asked me, "you taknak beli apa2 ke?".. at the time i wasn't really interested in getting anything as i was saving my money for the Wii U.. and so i replied, "hmm, tak kot".. Just like any other man i got bored of following wifey around the women's section and so i told her i wanna go and check out what's upstairs.. As i got to the first floor i walked around and i came across this thing :

Suddenly i was crying inside with excitement drool.gif .. had my 1st hands-on with the gamepad and i was sold.. I know Wii U is region locked and most probably i can't get any PAL Wii U game in malaysia.. and the games over there is FREAKIN expensive! but because i couldn't help myself, and because i kept thinking about the damn thing every single day i was there, i bought one, on our last day in Perth..

I'm really enjoying it.. but the other day i tried to add funds to buy a game from the eshop (why the fish are digital downloads more expensive than off the shelf games??) by using maybank atm/debit card and failed vmad.gif .. so now all i can say to myself is "Padan muka sebab tak sabar sangat nak beli Wii U" doh.gif .. I guess the only game i get to play on my console is Nintendo Land & Mario.. cry.gif

moral of the story is : BE PATIENT icon_rolleyes.gif

Above all, don't be patient, as demonstrated by String, but about the e-shop thing, string hasn't commented on that, so we're screwed.
