BUY BUY BUY!

ZombiU, Super Mario Bros U and the upcoming Rayman Legends.

ZombiU for that awesome second screen interaction and the frantic "damn I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die!" gameplay. This!:

Need I explain about SMBU? 1080p Mario baby!

Rayman Legends...for this! In 1080p!

you can't. safest bet is to use eShop prepaid points card (for US networks) to add funds to your account.

even those eShop prepaid cards noted as for 3DS eShop can be used to add funds to your NNid (Wii U account). but note the funds added to your Wii U acct will NOT be shared with the 3DS acct (if you have one).

a possible alternative is to use those virtual US ccard service eg. Citibank which lets you purchase things using a US-like ccard number.

Added on December 30, 2012, 10:32 amnot sure if you already know this but do take note that the Wii U GamePad has to be "discoverable" by the console (which also means it needs to be turned on as well).

this discovery range can vary and it mainly depends on obstacles around the room/house and it's materials. mine loses connection by the time i get to kitchen toilet door which is about 30 feet away from console. there is a couch n slight wall blocking in the way though ...

btw there is 8GB Basic Set & 32 GB Deluxe Set.

if you DON'T plan to download a lot of titles from eShop Basic set is still ok. there is only 3GB left when you first completely setup and update it the first time. there is option to use USB HDD though... albeit have to find a known model that works reliably

Deluxe Set will include lots of other goodies besides the 25GB capacity (left after first setup n update). NintendoLand is bundled. Digital Deluxe Promotion (rebate campaign for eShop purchases). additional accessories for the console.

be prepared if you want to be Nintendo owner especially in M'sia. it's not necessarily like buying and using any other appliance especially if you dunno where to get help and stuff for it later ...

other comrades, pls chime to help our potential supporter here *haha*

YESSS, finally update my Wii U to F/W v2.1.0 !! rclxm9.gif

So now finally can add u guys in Miiverse! thumbup.gif

The story is like this, last night when I was in the middle of update progress, my stupid shitmyx line got dc during 3/4 of the bar so cant finish it. I kept trying n trying but still cannot bcoz the dsl light keep on blinking. Stupid tmnuts, luckily my wii u didnt brick!

All in all, it took me almost 2hrs on my 4mbps shitmyx line:
- 1hr before DC - dload progress bar 3/4 full
- 1hr resume after DC - progress bar full + installation process.

My advise to u wiii u beginners, b4 update pls ensure ur connection is stable, no torrent or background dloading if not it will be slow like hell n also, dont update during thunderstorm if not ur line will get cut off or dc easily bcoz last nite i think JB got light raining.

Eh, got Nintendo Network ID thread onot? I wanna add my name and add all of you guys!! I think got hor?.. Ya, ya.. Got, got.. I will check it out later..

Right now busy learning/navigating thru all the menus, eshop and test wii u/wii games brows.gif

p/s: sorry for the long post, excited sangat dah ni with my Wii U laugh.gif

This may be a question out of curiosity but I'll ask anyway: Nintendo is embracing third party devs and actively shedding its "first party" and "family friendly" image with the Wii U. But I don't see new current Wii U owners excited about non-"family friendly" titles like ZombiU. If Nintendo is doing its best to change its image, would their stalwart Nintendo fans follow suit OR continue only getting/excited about "family friendly" titles from first party devs?

P/S: I refrained from saying "kiddy" and said "family friendly" instead. Don't wanna get slain by cutesy Pokemons and cuddly Pikmins. tongue.gif

Cannot speak for others but I bought and am playing most of the main launch titles from 3rd party devs.

In fact just completed Mass Effect 3. Great game. Also finished Trine 2 and Nano Assault NEO earlier. Both very replayable games.

Now enjoying Mario U and enjoying Batman & Assassin's Creed III ! CoD is in queue as I am waiting for my pro controller to arrive with Ninja Gaiden ...

P/S: actually I bought Mario U last and that was thru eShop. May not hv done it if it wasn't as convenient.

Fantastic! Nintendo's aim may be achievable yet with more gamers like you. Otherwise Nintendo's consoles are destined to be mostly for their first party games only, which is what they're trying to deviate from, to court more talented third party devs.

I think for those with small baby...wii u is a god sent...Hihihi...can quietly play beside baby while she is asleep...

But still contemplating to whom to buy wii u from...for the sake of warranty claims in case something happens in the future. Touch wood..

Oh ya...and thanks sifus for all your pointers. Will definitely go for 32g wii u....

Lets venture for more options if available. I wouldn't mind supplying the codes, just that it does take a chunk of money still.
