String, are u pessimist by nature, or a pessimist by training? hmm.gif

IINM, pilots are trained to be pessimist, and always braced for worst case scenario

imagine a optimistic pilot saw a red warning light blinking for a while in the cockpit, "nah~~ it's nothing, see? it's gone already" and didn't bother to check
and a pessimist pilot would think something must be wrong, and check it throughout

If you guys had watch Aircrash Investigation, the pilots who crashed the plane are the optimistic tidak apa type tongue.gif

By nature. In which, probably helps me secure the job in the first place. I never take everything for granted, when something is wrong, you cungkil until get to the core of things. Never take it on faith, which in turn reflects my view on faith itself. Usually, the "optimistic tidak apa" type are the ones who rely on faith and hope that the "problem" goes away. I believe you have to make it go away, or it wont go away at all.

ok ok, back to track tongue.gif

for me was contemplating between either a Wii U, PSV or a 3DS XL as my Xmas gift

but since Wii U game library are kinda very limited now, and still first batch, so I'm waiting for next batch with more games (2nd hand games too tongue.gif)
PSV wise it's dying albeit it has a superior spec, but alas, I don't see a future
So I picked 3DS XL at the end, should be getting it today rclxm9.gif

Added on December 27, 2012, 9:52 amoh yeah. waiting for Zelda on Wii U too, then it's time for me to take the plunge icon_rolleyes.gif

3DS rocks!
Its like the DS, not the best specs, but I spend far more time on it than anything else.

Like I said, I'm a pessimist. I brace for the worse, and if the situation is better than the worse, then all the better. Betting your horses on the best case scenario or false hope and have that shattered on your face, stings a lot. I get better "local warranty" responses from stores or entities I have dealt with, simply because I've created rapport with them, and they're wiling to go the extra mile to rectify my RMA. If you're new and first time customer, good luck.

When it comes to local warranty, I have my fair share of shit as well.
My Blackberry Playbook has a battery that deteriorate too fast, it sits in Service Center for a month, they say waiting for parts.
There is a Mac that died, with my Finding Nemo DVD still inside.

But I have good experience with HTC, Lenovo and SONY..... so.....

I always hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
So, if Wii-U local warranty turn out to be a pile of shit, I won't cry a river for myself.

Simple question, how does a Nintendo warranty here works?

I've seen posts at Neogaf forum mentioned about setting the country to Canada in order to add funds using a foreign credit cards. Has anyone tested this?

I want a local warranty.

I am so stubborn to the point of superstitious, it is irrational, and it may have something to do with my abusive childhood, I got routinely abused by M Bison and Bowser and Robotnik.

So, you want a local warranty under the pretext of it giving you ample protection against faults and defects, even if that local warranty may not provide that? A warranty is only as much if it is honored and practiced.

My question about how a Nintendo local warranty remaining unanswered gives that impression that it's not really honored or practiced now, isn't it? *shrugs, moves along ,eats sandwich*

IMO, official local warranty = placebo effect

makes you think you're covered, you'll have a peace of mind
but when shits happens, you're on your own

Spot on! This applies to Nintendo's version of it, here. Does not apply to entities that honors a working warranty appropriately.

There u go - Peace of mind, I need that.
And before shit happens, I live in the hope that when shit happen, Zeus will bless me with magic wand and local warranty is good.

Shit don't happened, it has never happened to all my Nintendo stuff.
The SFC that turned yellow doesn't count.

Ah I guess it's a good timing for me to come to clear some of the air.

Wii U Malaysia Edition dgn Official Warranty: NOT THE SOONEST.

Wii U Singapore Edition dgn Official Warranty: Boleh diarrange, but not from me.

It's something like the 3DS XL. And it's one of the most saddest situations I have ever seen. Really sad. I won't dive into details, but that's the gist of it.

What this guy says. Still "peace of mind"? Or more serabut mind? What peace does it grant you knowing that you had to arrange your Wii U to go down south for repairs, just like your XB360?
