Hi all!

I'm planning to get a Wii U. In my mid thirties, I used to own an SNES 20 years ago and since then been doing occasional PC gaming. I would like to get back into consoles esp since i've got young nephews and nieces to chill out with these days. This is the bundle im planning to get

http://www.ipmart.com.my/main/product/Nint...php?prod=483123

I would like to start off with Mario 3d World, and get Smash Bros and Mario Kart. I've got no wii or gamecube controllers and would like to invest in a few so that I can have the occasional 4ppl local multiplayer esp with Smash and Kart.

I humbly submit myself to your advice for what controller set up I should get. My plan is the following

1. Wii U Gamepad
2. Get a Wii U Pro controller
3. A wiimote (? with a nunchuk)
4. A wiimote (? with a nunchuk)

The 3rd and 4th controller will be used occasionally for parties.

Any comments? Help Im a noob!

The first is already a given. haha.

The second is actually optional. but if anything, it is the next best controller that is available for the WiiU

Now for the third and forth, it is recommended that you get a pair of Wii Remote Plus and nunchunk. The forth is simpler, just another Wii Remote Plus. That's enough. hehe.

Hi guys, I'm pretty much set on getting a Wii-U, just need to sort out some details.

I would like to ask if second hand games like Mario Kart 8 has any restriction for playing online since it's used by the previous owner ?

Here's my shopping list:

1. Nintendo WiiU 32GB Deluxe Edition ( Btw is the games included in the bundle digital ver. ? )
- Super Mario 3D World
- Nintendo Land
2. WiiU Pro Controller
3. Wii Party U with Black Wii Remote Plus
4. Super Smash Bros.
5. Mario Kart 8
6. Pikmin 3
7. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
8. Hyrule Warriors
9. One Piece Unlimited World Red
10. Bayonetta 2
11. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
12. Wii Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
13. Wii Sports Club

I'm planning to have 2 controllers ( gamepad + pro controller ) for local 2 person games and 1 remote plus for party games. Is the nunchuck really necessary ?
Any suggestion on what classic Wii games should I get ? I'm trying to get second hand games as a mean to reduce spending but used Wii-U games are pretty rare nowadays unsure.gif

No. As for the game in bundle version, I'm not sure, Most likely digital. Some Wii games may require nunchuck to be playable. Might want to grab one later, but probably after you bought games which really require it.

I was originally planning to inquiry and buy from Gamer's Hideout at Tropicana Mall but they closed down yesterday. So the only physical shop is in 1Utama only.

My second option was to get from kyomart (seems like an awesome guy) but most of the stuff are out of stock. The link you posted (ipmart) seems like a good deal too. Did you already order from them?
I wanted to get the console and most of the games from the same place to save the hassle.

Oh don't worry, this is my second console in 15 years after PS1. I think I can control my gaming habits tongue.gif

Thanks for the tip! I thought Wii games require authentication when playing online since most PC MMORPG requires CD-key to play. ( I was out of the gaming world for quite awhile )

Thanks for the great links! I will go through the awesome list you provided. I actually read through your WiiU faqs to understand the basic stuff of WiiU. blush.gif
By the way, do you have most of the stuff from my list ? Most of the Nintendo stuff listed are out of stock in your website.

Hello, I've been pondering about acquiring a Wii U.

If I do come to a conclusion to get one, should I consider getting popular online multiplayer titles, such as Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros, too?

Since Wii U hasn't been officially releases in the apac region, I'm worried about logging into barren lobbies most of the time or playing against high latency players from other regions.

By the way, is the Wii U's online multiplayer region restricted or is is game specific?

Supposingly, you have to look into your Internet settings. IINM, Tvii is stuck under US IP addresses only, so if you really want that, you will have to get a VPN service to link it up. That, is another process altogether (lengthy it might be, depending on provider).

Planning to get a Wii-U for playing MarioLand 3D and future Mario games. Sick of all the realistic graphics on my PC and XBOX.

Need some unrealistic looking graphic games to play.

Some questions:
1) Can it play Wii games? Can buy from online store?
2) Is it compatible with Wii controllers?
3) How many versions are there (Wii U) and the price roughly now?
4) Is there region lock for this console? Any particular region console i should buy? Or is it the console can play all region games?

Tq.

baca dulu FAQ bro. tongue.gif

1. Can... But only physical ones. There's no digital Wii games on the E Shop.
2. Not all games, but the back box of the game will tell you what works and not.
3. I think most of the sellers have the 32GB Super Mario 3D World bundle for RM 1200 and above. Should be the case.
4. Just buy US. That's probably the easiest region to get.
