where to dl speedmod t8?currently using t6.any different?

do read the devs log to find out what is the difference between each kernel.. normally the latter will be a fixed to the former and maybe just a minor upgrade..

Btw, 1 more question, with CM7, does it automatically convert to Ext4? or something else like Yaffs or something I read somewhere before???


Next time when I want to flash to other Rom, lik Stock ROM, MIUI Rom, custom GB rom etc....what is the safest way? Flash via Odin to EZBase 2.0 ROM, can?

no need, just have to flash any samsung rom with pit and repartition. you will not regret using cm7. i just flash another phone to GingerCriskelo v71 and still i feel cm7 faster.

guy..i got problem with my SGS. there is a buzzing sound from the speaker when i was on the phone. im worried the speaker is kong already n need to send it to the service centre.

currently im using Simply Honey rom, do i need to change the rom back to eclair before send it to the service centre? because the phone still got the warranty..

definitely yes. actually if u look into that kernel it's a JVH kernel which is a 2.3.3 kernel.. we can use it with version 2.3.4 as it's compatible (as stated by the devs)

you can flash back to DXJE7, DXJG4, DXJP1, DXJPA ,DXJPE or DXJV9. all are official rom from samsung. as long as you are on anyone of this you are ori.

bro, how come you got 2 sgs? just noticed it.

- stock rom - just flash directly
- MIUI you need froyo bootloader. So clear cache and dalvik cache, and flash miui zip file
- custom gb - need gb bootloader. so either flash stock gb or just flash gb bootloader

If you use ezboot, you don't have to download the whole rom just to change bootloader. ezboot is less than 10MB size only.

buzzing sound could be network related. just flash any of the stock rom before sending to service centre. froyo dxjpe or gb XXJV9

Wanna ask, why CM7 user flashed fugumod? What's the advantage over stock CM7 from your experience?

how to do conversion:

1. power off phone until it's vibrate (if u don't have extended power option)
2. go into recovery (volume up + home button + power button)
3. select advance Speedmod ULK features
4. select Convert filesystem to EXT4
5. wait till the conversion process is done
6. reboot phone
7. enjoy speedmode!

a few advantage of fugumod, voodoo color, UV, battery saving, and the most important, speed. if you are new to cm7, play around with stock kernel first then only flash custom kernel. like that only you can notice the different.

this two dudes are the m-f-hardcore SGS users! damn, son!

im suspecting the network also..need to check and change to different modem before send it to the SC. im really irritated with buzzings
