You might want to rethink about the walking. Every day I walk to the office (15mins) in the morning not that bad.
At the evening/night, the chilly wind will freeze your face. Have to breathe through my mouth sweat.gif

Thanks for all the advised.. I think... should bring the LONG JOHN..
In between, how much is the heating pad?? Where to get it?? Expensive??

And i did booked for JR WEST PASS. Just wondering Osaka Loop Line covered by JR WEST PASS?

i'm staying nearby SHINIMAMIYA or DOBUTSUENMAE Subway Station. I just take subway to TENNOJI and that is direct train to KYOTO?? No interchange in between.

I seen from hypermedia.. The direction as below :-

SHINIMAMIYA to OSAKA by JR Kanku Kishuji Rapid
OSAKA to KYOTO by LTD.EXP SUPER HAKUTO 8

hmm..
afaik, any 'ltd' or 'subway' designates its private line, thus not covered with JR pass
But you got the JR pass, just take the hikari/kodama shinkansen LOL

Visa wise, just prepare all the things required as put on the Malaysian Jap embassy website, 6k in bank, apply, settle. Mine all done after 3 days with little issue.

Wonder if Nikko is crap cold this year round, hopefully it is (I like cold). Planned to go Hakone, but Nikko worked out to be cheaper overall even with accomodations (thanks to the Tobu passes).

Plus I've been to Hakone before once. Nikko not yet.

Planning to raid the used camera/laptop/stuff stores all over Tokyo too. Hopefully I can get some good deals.

So any LYN guys (or gals) in the Tokyo area free to grab a drink or something during the 30th-10th? Or anybody in Yokohama on the 10th-13th?

LOL.. Boss.. I have no choice but to walk leh. Allowance cannot cover taxi ride sweat.gif
I went to Owakudani in Hakone too. Once a while can "ter"-smell sulphur like at the mountains.
The 'black egg' and 'egg ice cream' is nice. Minus the freezing cold wind. The view of Mt Fuji from there is nice too.

Anyone using BlackBerry or bringing their BlackBerry to Japan ? I need advices on whether to use it or rent a phone from Japan.

Maxis data roaming is so expensive, so it would be good idea to rent a smartphone from softbank at the airport right?

And the Tokyo Train apps...I didn't know there's an app for that !! Need to download it ! =P
