Is the above what you did and MBB didn't charge interest.
*
yes, very easy to find out why I'm so sure
noticed ur min payment when the statement came out, RM2050 x 5% = RM102.50
noticed ur min payment again on 2nd of the next month, RM102.50 - RM50 = RM52.50

comclusion, the RM50 cash back has been used to pay ur cc

My application had been decline by Maybank but they cannot give me the reason for the decline. They ask me to write a letter to management if I want to know. Anybody have this experience before?
*
If you go and sit down with an officer at their branch, they can tell you the reason. I also got rejected when I first applied for a Maybank CC. I was at their branch when I got the news so I straightaway asked. The reason was that they found out my savings acc with them contained too little $$. I forgot that I even had an account with them! tongue.gif
So I told the officer that my salary goes into another bank, not MBB, hence the low amount of $$. He then amended something into their system and then asked me to wait for a call from them. True enough, two days after that, I got a call saying that my application was approved.

I also have a maybank saving account and just like you that account did not so active because I am using RHB as my default account. Better go to the branch tomorrow. Thanks for the info. smile.gif

Hi All,

Anyone can enlighten on the 20% promotion from Mastercard when charged at USS?
http://www.rwsentosa.com/language/en-US/At...pore/Promotions

The fare will deducted when we do payment? For eg the fare was 52.80. When I proceed to checkout the credit card type you can select among AMEX, VISA, Mastercard.

Does that mean after the amount was charged to Mastercard a 20% discount will be deducted from 52.80 and the statement amount would be 42.24? Kindly advice. notworthy.gif

That doesn't necessary mean RM50 is used to pay the previous month's statement balance.
It shows that the RM50 deducts on the next month statement only.
Even if I paid RM2050, you get RM50 deduct in the next month statement also.

Either way I will test their system and report back. I'll pay RM2000 and check if they charge me interest on the remaining RM50 (so-called outstanding balance)

If the merchant accepts CC and AMEX as payment method, why not!

minimum payment is the amount you'll need to pay at least b4 due date, if the minimum payment amount has reduced, means the cash back has been used to settle your payment, right

I wanted to ask if the cash-back is given after the cut-off Statement Date can be use as payment for the previous Statement.
Definitely you can credit back the RM50 on your current Statement.

statement balance is forever fixed after that statement cycle
the min amount u need to pay will reduced as it has been offset by the incoming cash back

normally the estatement will be ready two days after statement date, so u might want to chk with CS
