Yes. Though I have constantly reminded them not to deliver it to my hometown, get it sent to my office instead... Yet, eventually those cards were delivered to my hometown address. doh.gif doh.gif

Change the default mailing address to your office when a delivery is expected.
Then change back once not required. Banks now have an internal policy which these "sensitive" documents can only be sent to your mailing address. Request for diversions are collected by the CS but they are not necessarily acted upon by the card department. Reason for this is that a lot of scams involving impersonating genuine card holders.

I came to know about this a couple of months ago. Please don't bother to ask CS because as this is bank's internal policy, it won't be mentioned to the customers. (nor it needs to - coz it's after all internal policy) To save your time and breath just take a note of my tip above.

Yes, I also went through the route. The convenient part is all documents are not needed and etc. smile.gif
But the drawback is the waiting time is dreadfully. You gotta do constant follow up with them. smile.gif

I got mine when I went to pick-up my Amex Gold from the KLCC Branch. Saw that I had a new Amex in M2U but never received it in the mail, called them up and they said that it was sent to my branch in KLCC. Went there and saw all this ads about the Maybank2Card, the guy asked if I wanted to change to the new cards, said yes, they cancelled my Amex Gold and got myself a MC Plat and the Amex Plat within 1 hour, no documentation needed at all. Sweet.

Had problems trying to use it for Emirates though. Keep getting a Javascript error when I tried to authorize payment (must be because of OSX Lion), then getting transaction denied ... sigh, finally after 6 tries and numerous times calling the card centre, decided to go to the Emirates office and buy the tickets to Paris in the office. Other than that, it's good.

how about installment for 12 months? Would it split to 12 months?
If I going to buy a Dell laptop worth RM6k, would the cash bank and treatspoints for RM6k online purchasing fully utilize on the first month or split to 12 months (RM500 per month)?

Yup ... spot on answer! If Dell doesn't process your transaction on weekends then no weekend rebate.
And @doraemonkiller a piece of advice - don't be so kiasu. Good enough the bank is giving you points for your spendings vs cash which you get nothing.

First and foremost, Dell will not process during this weekend. (self-experience)
Secondly, AmEx is not eligible for Dell installment.

Another question:
Let say we buy an item worth RM6k and apply installment for 12 mths. Do the cash back and point fully utilise on the first month (RM6k) or split to 12 months (RM500)?

hi guys. long time no reply here biggrin.gif

updates:

1. some online merchant wont accept amex till u call amex helpline and ask to 'open slot' for that merchant.
i did it for more than 5 times already. maybank cs will ask u 'how long' need to 'open the slot', usually i said just for 1 hour.
at the time i'm typing this, airasia website still not implemented this security (just finished booking). MAS booked last month (aug) also same sweat.gif

2. now maybank keep calling me to verify amex transaction, usuallty after big amount swipe (example rm4k), and the cs will verify 3-4 previous transaction too.

3. supp line card CONFIRMED need to pay rm25x2 for govt tax. supp line card with m2u can view their card transaction but cannot pay.

4. if using visa/mastercard from maybankard 2 to purchase online, maybank will send TAC to mobilephone, instead using verified by visa or mastercard securecode. better for me, rather to remember password brows.gif

dats all 4 now ~

Item 4 is the enhancement to MSOS (Verified by Visa or Mastercard Securecode). Instead of keying a prefix 6-digit PIN that we set earlier, the system has now been improved by using the TAC method.

Item 1 is a little confusing and I don't really get you.

if that merchant does not accept amex, how can maybank cs 'open the slot'? rclxub.gif
or you can see their payment gateway show amex logo but after key in cannot go thru?

can gv some example of the websites?

The thing is, AMEX is still vulnerable since there's no TAC method right.
