For me, TF is more then just a tablet.... The dock, USB and SDCard really useful.Is 40% entertainment, 40% browsing news forum etc and 20% work.

If battery life is your most worry point... then get transformer... i usually charge every 24 hours... and that only the dock... as for performance it's kinda so so... but serve every purpose that i need... fast access to the internet and entertainment on the move...

Just got the Transformer with dock at Digital Mall yesterday. New stocks arrived yesterday but were limited. Just ask around. Some shops have stocks but were reserved. Good Luck

Transformer is unique as it has an added advantage with the dock. Whether an iPad is better all depends on individual preference.

For me it has been value for the money when you consider the whole package (tablet + dock). Very unique user experience. It is not the speediest of the bunch or is it the lightest like the tab or has a hefty/solid build like the Xoom, but it serves my need well. What sweetens the experience is the KDS. I have both Xoom and TF and I use them interchangeably. I spend equal amount on each but I do find that I hold on to the TF longer and longer as the Xoom feels weighty after a while. Samsung Tab 10.1 or 8.9 is a no no for me because of the lack of SD card slot. No HDMI is not a deal breaker for me personally but it's a nice to have. Both Xoom and TF comes with it so why not.

See if you can get a carrying pouch or higher capacity SD card. Maybe top up a bit for the card.

If you are buying both tablet and dock, check to see if the tablet can dock properly with the KDS, check to make sure when docked it is secure and doesn't get loose easily when you lift it or move it around a bit. Also check to see if anything misalign when you have docked the tablet and closed down the lid. Check to see if you can tolerate the reported light bleeds. It doesn't bother me. Also check for dead pixels.

it seems need internet connection for navigating?
any other apps that not using the internet for the gps?

TF got GPS.

if use google map/ google earth for sure it need internet to download data.

so far i tested CoPolot Live work. but not use to it .. just for me to test.

Do you have light bleeding ?
1.Easy docking
2.Every keyboard button works
3.LCD light bleeding / dead pixel
4.Tablet sitting evenly on a surface
5.Touch screen working + camera
6.Speaker sounds evenly on both side
7.And make sure not bumps or scratch

How to check light bleeding and dead pixel on the spot ? got any black background to check for both ?
and also how to check those keyboard button one by one ?

Bought at RM1799. Did not get any free gifts but need to top up if you want any other stuff, so I didnt bother.

Check whether tablet+dock stays stable on surface or not. One of my front rubber feet doesn't touch the surface, so when i type it jiggles and it slides too easily since only one rubber feet is providing grip. Gonna send to service center when i back malaysia.

Actually not just amazon out of stock, i checked walmart and best buy also no stock. So others also not enough stock.

I guess for those of us including myself who got the transformer early (esp during pre-order) should feel lucky now
