My status after the Petronas SI is recommended and I'm waiting for the placement almost 2 months now.
I just wondering if there's any way or tips on how to get the placement? I don't know who should I contact and how.
Thank you

QUOTE(uhhwilliam @ Mar 30 2012, 07:20 AM) I am more than happy to oblige to undertake the technical assessment and the process involved, but do you mind briefing me about what goes on during that period and how they assess your capabilities and aptitude? If you are a fresh grad, the technical or SI interview will most likely ask you about the courses you took and basically some structured interview to test your aptitude etc etc. Others can tell you about SI.As for companies from the middle east, no they won't ask your HR. No one does that as no HR will give a good impression of you if other are trying to poach you. There will be local agents who handles all the lof=gistics and they will advertise any openings and when their client is coming down for an interview sessions. |

Been with Petronas for the last 5 years..if u are in this company, and u manage to see how Petronas improve especially at international level..Bumi or non Bumi..at the end it's still Malaysian..
If u don't like the way how Malaysia Government on the policies, please migrate!! See does other country like Aussie & Canada want to accept or not..The thing being this way from the day we Merdeka..GE is coming..choose properly.. QUOTE(ben3003 @ Mar 23 2012, 03:45 PM) their increment is based on annual? Not performance wise? From all the senior staff at shell here, where i currently working at their project, they said working with petronas is most underpaid for them. They easily get 30k+/- currently working as contractor in commissioning department. underpaid?? work style is different between Main Client and Contractor.. |

QUOTE(azraeil @ Apr 22 2012, 12:32 AM) Yes, BUT my understanding is that it has not been implemented yet. PETRONAS usually does things in July. Maybe that's when they will do it. Make sense. They are hiring rite now. Given 1 month notice that the successful candidates need to tender altogether with their resignation letter, plus 2 weeks induction course at bangi, July is likely to be the month when these new people will be joining Petronas. The more the better. Am I wrong?Even if they revised your batch's pay grade, I dont think they will reduce the benefits ie. house loan, car loan, medical benefit etc. So increased salary PLUS all those benefits, I'll pray for a revision (if I were you)! QUOTE(pandikar @ Apr 22 2012, 05:30 PM) Make sense. They are hiring rite now. PETRONAS does not work that way. If they revise the salary, for those who have not taken any of the loans (those on 4K has no loans anyway) you will probably have to sign off the medical benefits away. As I mentioned before, I'd take the increments to base salary than any cap medical benefit from PETRONAS any day.Given 1 month notice that the successful candidates need to tender altogether with their resignation letter, plus 2 weeks induction course at bangi, July is likely to be the month when these new people will be joining Petronas. Then basic RM5k with no medical benefits is way more better than basic RM4k with capped medical benefits, at least for me. However, this is still yet to be seen. We need to wait until July to see what's the new package is. |
