Heard the new pay of RM5k will not cover a lot of benefits. So maybe it's not as good as it looks.

Anyway, anyone know if this figure only covers engineering graduates?

Heard there will be no medical benefit at all.

PETRONAS medical benefit is covered by ING since 2003 except for cases where ING has no coverage such as maternity. Roughly, you can get the same coverage (bar maternity) by getting a coverage that costs you around 4k premium a year. The 1k extra salary (this is base salary) already pays you an extra 12k per year (more than enough for the medical premium) and let's not forget an extra 5k a year if you use the same amount of bonus (5 months this year). A good 8% increment per year should cover the medical premium charges after 2 years. (17k extra a year compounded by 8%). I am not even going to mention the extra EPF money that 1K is bringing in a year.

And the new batch (after June 2010) will be also losing the house and car loan. The house loan can save you a lot actually. sad.gif

how is the annual increment for fresh graduate in petronas ?

let's say fresh graduate 4k, after confirm how much ?
and how is the annual increment in E1 level ?
*
After confirmation (6months), there is no increment and there is no technical allowance also for Tier 1 and Tier 2 staffs even after working one year. The annual increment is based on your performance.

No. All fresh grad will get 5K. There will be NO medical benefit, no Housing Loan benefit and no car loan benefit.
*
Poor the previous batch like us, starting 4k, capped medical benefit (4k outpatient, 35k hospitalization yearly), no housing and car loan benefit. I would rather forgo my capped medical benefit for that addtional 1k per month. cry.gif

ppl at here said that the new entry salary scheme for fresh graduate had been increased to 5k, however it is only applied for UTP graduate.

Is it true ? Any Petronasian can verify it ?
*
No such thing if they segregate the pay based on which uni that you graduated from, how about those petronas scholars from overseas uni, are they subjected to higher pay then UTP? Once you enter petronas, you will be treated equally. smile.gif
