QUOTE(DM3 @ Mar 23 2012, 05:06 PM) thanks Cut boboi. besides that i realize that for cukai seksyen 110 is for interest etc from amanah etc, is valid for all amanah also? From LHDN: Compute the tax deducted under section 110 by using Working Sheet HK-6 in respect of other income such as interest, royalties, section 4A income and income from trust bodies. Please submit Working Sheet HK-6 if you are entitled to a tax refund. Amount from item B Woring Sheet HK-6. Only submit if you can get tax refund from the extra tax deducted (if any) from the amanah. e.g. using Section 51 (HK-3) for stock market share dividends. Previously it was deducted at maximum 25%, if you tax rate is lower, let's say 12%, you can use the extra tax paid in dividend as rebate. Nowadays, it is single-tier and taxed already at company before declaring dividend, hence no need to fill up HK-3 already.

Even working also, can claim as joint-assessment. I will assume in your case, the ASM shares and dividends are not a lot (sorry, not meant to say you are not rich, unless you tell me the ASM shares are like tens/hundreds of million with yearly dividend at 5-6 digits ). Therefore, it is better to do joint-assessment to get the extra rm3k deduction (not rebate) Remember, if need to, to declare your wife's ASM in your joint-assessment also.

Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS1M)Amanah Saham 1Malaysia was launched on 31 July 2009 by sixth Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Tun Razak with a fund size of 10 Billion. AS1M is open to all Malaysian citizen with a quota of 50% for Bumiputera, 30% Chinese, 15% Indian and 5% others. AS1M has no upper limit on the value of an account, so capital gains which are retained in the account are allowed. Capital gains in AS1M accounts are not subject to taxes until 2019. Dividends are paid each year and put back into the account so that compounding is achieved. i received this letter 'Pemberitahuan Permohonan Bayaran Balik Cukai' from LHDNM. This is my first time to receive such letter. 2 years that I have filed for Income Tax, I received tax refund. What does the letter mean (since I am a foreigner)? Google cannot translate the letter correctly for me. Thanks!

She got the refund later than me by 1 month although the e-filing was done on the same date. Freak her out so much about being call up for audit.

hi,
Would like to ask one question..In 2011, my wife was working but her salary was lower than minimum taxable salary. Means that no income tax deduction.
Which type of assessment should i choose for the E-filing?
1. Joint in the name of husband, or 2. Separate, or 3. Myself only
thank you

Hi there,
I had a question ago ask all the pro's here.
My situation: Working with company A with monthly basic salary 1k. So all this years I free from income tax fever. Starting this year, I being hired as workers (so they register me in LHDN, got SG no.) then i move on as a freelance consultant to a company B while still working with company A. Question: 1. Starting this month the company B I had no receiving basic salary but monthly commission 3k. So, next coming year, do I fill borang B or BE?
