"New Customers" mean applicants who have not held any Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad credit card whether as principal or supplementary cardholder within the past 12 months before the applicant's credit card under this Campaign is issued.

Maybe its a hidden loyalty benefit biggrin.gif

Most possibly... I have existing SCB CC but added 1 card yearly (and cancel before 1-year) and still get the RM300 brows.gif

I saw this one the Preferred World Master Card page:

Preferred Banking monthly maintenance fee: The monthly fee of RM50 is waived for the first year. The fees for subsequent years are waived as long you maintain deposits and/or investments of at least RM72,000 or housing loan quantum of at least RM400,000 with us.

After 1st year need to pay month fee RM50 since I have no deposits and loan with SCB? sweat.gif

My interpretation is that RM50 fee is only applicable if you are holding a Preferred Account as well since it is found at the Preferred Banking site only.

But I have a question now:
If you got a Platinium CC from Standardchartered,
How do you settle the annual fee? Annual fee is RM250 for the Platinum or RM300 for the Business Platinium
Use choice point? Or is there other way to waive the annual fee without deduce from the choice point.

Last time SCB call me offer me to upgrade my visa gold to platinium. But i reject thier offer because of the high annual fee.

Hi, try giving the CS a call about AF waiver. No harm asking.

Hi Guys,

I am SCB existing customer for using gold visa, i upgrade my card to Visa platinum and get 300 cash back. They will debit with me 200 - 50 (GST ),bal 150. There is another 100 they say will debit to me if i use my card for at least 3 times

May i know what is the benefit of using the plat card and do they waive my annual fees? I really no ideas about this . Anyone can share to me. If the annual fees is high i might dont want to use it

Hi, how did you request the upgrade, through fax or by calling the CS?

In most cases, you can get the AF waived by calling up CS. They will ask you to swipe at least 3 times during the month for the waiver smile.gif

Here is a simple comparison for both cards:
