Sorry mate! I never gave a rat's ass about post #1. Anyway, I tried faxing to that number but haven't been able to get through since yesterday. I called the platinum concierge and he connects me to the telesales department and successfully upgraded my credit card without waiting or any letter. Thumbs up SC.

Their fax number is down. Too many applications for the RM300 rebate maybe?

Did they minus RM50 for GST payment? Also in your request letter/form, did you mention you are also an e$aver account holder?

RM200 Cashback upon card approval date - RM50 GST = RM150 NETT
I did not mention of e$aver... But I will call again to confirm I'm getting the Preferred Banking ChoicePoints/Rewards

Go apply and get cashback... not sure it will work for CC you cancelled previously.

Today I received my SCB Preferred World MasterCard (Principal+Supplementary) via PosLaju.
Activation is required.
The card surface is matte... very nice looking card.

I even received the offer to get the RM699 Philips LCD TV form.

09-Jun : Submitted fax to request for card upgrade
11-Jun : Approved SMS received
13-Jun : CC listed on SCB Online Baking portal (with free Cash)
14-Jun : CC arrived via PosLaju

Well done, that is quite a risky move

Calculated risk actually.... I'm willing to pay the RM50 or able to OFFSET with 3 swipes, and get 1000 ChoicePoints.
I've had the same "luck" in getting RM300 each time I asked a for new card from SCB.

CashBack is capped at RM38 per month and RM450 per year for each Eligible Customer. In
addition, the Bank will pay out only up to a maximum total CashBack of RM1,250,000 from 5 July
2012 to 31 August 2013, across all Eligible Customers.

RM 1,250,000/ RM450= 2777 cards only.
I doubt the cap limit will be availabe until Aug 2013.

Just a simple letter to ask for upgrade ... fax to the number on the first page.
No income submitted together as well.

Preferred World MasterCard doesn't have KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge Access

But no more cashback on purchase right? The most important thing is cashback RM300

I might not able to upgrade on time. I just cleared my outstanding balance and the next statement date is in August

I upgraded even with balance due... it doesn't matter as SCB will issue new CC to you.

The cashback for transactions depends on which CC you request for.
Those are the basic info required to identify you, right ? SCB will call if they need more info also.

It sounds like a downgrade then
