maybe we live in bolehland for so long that we believe in pirated stuff?
but i don't see the govt clamping down on this stuff.

1) Chow Kit Street Bootleg products like nike shoe, bags , rolex watch.
2) how bout illegal pasar malam selling fake and stolen shoes , stuff etc.
3) dvd and vcd still available everywhere.
4) illegal Iphone from China?

All these are legal is it??

they give some room because they know its economy but there are risk to doesnt it? if you get caught alot to pay
i think same as the blocked site situation where the are loop hole you can go over it and they won't block it until someone tell them seriously about it

irony isn't it?

Easy, we are the oil producer. That's the difference between Singapore and us. Oil is almost never an issue in Singapore when public transport is more convenient than driving own car. In fact we have everything yet we suffer.

Since you are not a voter, maybe you should stay silence. You are coward to take action.

It's not like opposition can do anything drastic and turn things around. Look at disunity going on in PR today.
You vote the crony, it's going to continue. You vote the opposition it'll be beyond salvageable.

Either way it's sinking.

Take Perak for example. There's this selfish Fuzhou(trishaw) clan inside DAP who wants to rule and control everything. How can there be any unity when even among the Chinese they can't get along with each other?

Block is at DNS level now. Will the government eventually block DNS level access via Google Public DNS since so much info has come out in forums and internet on how to bypass the block? Hope not sad.gif

The letter addresses all ISP. This means sooner or later tm, maxis etc will all follow suit. I think the temporary blockage by TM previously was a test to see how users will react to it. Our PM really lied about supposed "internet freedom" exercised in Malaysia. The only solution is to bring them down in the next PRU. Who's with me??

I tried this on my PC but Megauplaod and Fileserve downloads got interrupted halfway. Started OK for a few minutes then shut! Trying to reset my router to public DNS. Whole blocking thing sucks!

U haven't change the DNS. Look at "preferred dns server" and "alternate dns server". Change it to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively. Find it in setup or advanced tab.

I changed my DNS setting in my router but streamyx has throttled my downloads through Fileserve and Megaupload. Keep getting "interrupted" message and download stopped. Anyone can help?

Government Malaysia would like to limit our freedom from access certain file sharing sites as well as p2p site.
In this cAse, we can also perform/exercise our Freedom in this democracy country by "say no" in upcoming election to Najib and his colonies.
No megaupload, fileserve, p2p ....means no BArisan National!

don't block it pls..
I use file sharing site everyday to download private software and movies, especially using Filesonic.
Btw I want to ask, if Streamyx blocked it, using leech site like rapid8.com , leechtube.com , also will be affected?

I have seen alot people keep talking about taking BN down, but it is nearly impossible if najib are paying those voters and I don't really think most of them are registered as a voters. You know, people are greedy about the close benefit but never think of long benefit. Hopefully if Anwar win the next GE, he can revert back the Economic and Internet policy to old style. blush.gif

I'm using streamyx 2mb package. I am wondering why is everyone saying it is blocked?
I currently downloading stuff from megaupload.com and it is running fine for me.
They never block any sites at my end. Except for porn site which I'm aware of. But not from p2p or file sharing site.

But then again, if they ban that kind of site compared to banning the file sharing web site, then I would prefer them doing so. I mean, It is down right illegal. But these file sharing web site is not. And yet they ban it.

So, which move makes more sense?
