Time to VPN our way through the Internet lol....

Sigh.. So much for the government's promise to NEVER censor the Internet...

EDIT:- I know who i'm voting for in the next GE..

I'm definitely not subscribing to VPNs established by locals at least not going to support their opportunistic effort.

Get a renowned one which is owned by a large foreign corporation.

You know what i feel?

Heres a thought
Its like having a car. And then the gov decided to block all the roads.
Cause they said that the road may lead you to somewhere thats illegal.

Let the filehosting sites handle the copyright issues theirselves. Dumb****S!!!
*
It's like having a road with illegal racing and rempit activities on it but it gives good access to strategic areas in the city for everyone's convenience to cut travelling distance.

Would you cut off the road and disregard the convenience that others are enjoying?

Then you have opportunists who have inside authority who takes advantage of it by setting up toll booths at both ends of the road to start charging toll rates if you want to continue enjoying the shortcut route.

Easy, we are the oil producer. That's the difference between Singapore and us. Oil is almost never an issue in Singapore when public transport is more convenient than driving own car. In fact we have everything yet we suffer.

Since you are not a voter, maybe you should stay silence. You are coward to take action.

It's not like opposition can do anything drastic and turn things around. Look at disunity going on in PR today.
You vote the crony, it's going to continue. You vote the opposition it'll be beyond salvageable.

Either way it's sinking.

Take Perak for example. There's this selfish Fuzhou(trishaw) clan inside DAP who wants to rule and control everything. How can there be any unity when even among the Chinese they can't get along with each other?

This is the way we should cautiously post on forums because often at times we're responsible for our words. Take it as you're drafting an email to your boss but it's openly send to a list of recipients.

The risk is just as high as blogging. In fact it's has higher participation and the board is actively observed unlike personal blogs which you have authority over its moderation.

Pr didn't even take over once and you already assume that? You are not GOD who know about future doh.gif btw,now the situation now is worse, internet is filtered/censored wrongly, the price keep increasing and more. That is problem in BN gomen. Do you still see BN as angel in organizing Malaysia ?

Disunity? haha where did you read. Don't tell me from mainstream newspaper coz their content is controlled by BN gomen and BN gomen will keep their bad doing in secret and show people, PR is bad. Go read malaysiakini also

Again it's proven that Lowyat.Net has been actively monitored by cybertroopers for some time already since it's been known to be one of Malaysia's most popular discussion forum to gather the citizens thoughts.

This will alert the public to be more cautious, refrain from posting unnecessary and beware that what you write here will be made known very easily to prying eyes.

In just 2 days this conversation was made and today's press statement appeared in The Star Nation's section:

QUOTE

Umno Cybertroopers Told to Act

BENTONG: Umno’s cybertroopers must play an active role to counter issues played up by the online media.

Party vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the new media had put a negative spin on many issues causing the public to receive wrong information.

Dr Ahmad Zahid said what was more worrying to Umno was fencesitters who were not members of any political party as they could be influenced by wrong information provided by the online media.

“There has been a hate culture propagated by irresponsible groups against Umno.

“This hatred of Umno has influenced the people, so we need to do something drastic to regain their support,” Ahmad Zahid said after opening the Bentong Umno division delegates meeting here yesterday.

Also present was the division’s chief and Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.

Ahmad Zahid said the pro-Umno cybertroopers had to create something that could attract the masses.

“The information we put out is mainly limited to Umno members and does not reach fencesitters and other members of the public.

“This puts us at a disadvantage,” he said.

He added that Umno should not ignore fencesitters who could make a difference in an election.

Anything that they dislike they consider it as "wrong information".It's like Kim Jong Il telling his people that watching western media not filtered by the Government is a serious crime.

Also the new term "fencesitters" was brought up.

Let me tell you who their "fencesitters" are. The are most likely their odd party members who are willing to betray them at every opportunity and if observed carefully are good shoe polishers. Those are the real fencesitters.

As for the observer, its best way to see how scenes unfoldsbefore they shape.

I'm now considering adding forum.lowyat.net in my 127.0.0.0 list.

It's more interesting than writing personal blogs when you have hits exceeding 6 figures of readers.

We have boy/girl dupes, mod dupes, fan dupes, for the lulz dupes, political party dupes, enforcement dupes,

With this attempt to blog specific sites, even naive users who only knew torrents would have come to know about direct downloads.

They've really splash fire with oil.

Now that they know it's against human rights to block legal sites, the flame has already been enlarge. Expect even more subscriptions to file hosting sites from now and torrents getting reduced.

If downloads now are going to be throttled to 100kB/s with a 4mbps line, then might as well downgrade to a 1mbps line...shiat.

Forget about f##king fibre or high speed internet.

Any else to look forward to for staying at home?

I'm not asking much here..WTH. Even a 4mbps line they could not sustain, then forget about fibre.

Why should I spend more for a 4mbps package and you think Malaysians should only live with 1mbps internet?

Wow you're so lucky. Can you tell us your IP range and gateway IP that you're connected to?
You can find it by logging on to your modem web config page

Also please provide us some speed test results using Speedtest.net to LA server and HK server.
