But then again, if they ban that kind of site compared to banning the file sharing web site, then I would prefer them doing so. I mean, It is down right illegal. But these file sharing web site is not. And yet they ban it.

So, which move makes more sense?
*
That's right!
Even the US is not banning the sites as long as they comply with the law to bring down the copyrighted files which they do all the time.
So what has got our Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Koperasi & Kepenggunaan's knickers in a twist?

this order come out from mcmc. porn view publicly they dun even take action against it until now. still wanna catch who the actor. but not catch the person distribute. GE almost come. what dirty tactic also use to cover up their dirty hand. stop making excuses.

why internet proposal under menteri penerangan komunikasi dan kebudayaan (kpkk)? why not under the ministry of energy, telecomunication and water(ktak)anymore? look like gomen jaga syarikat korporat more then jaga pengguna like now do subsidy cutting. vote are on our hand. see how long u can still sit at that office again.

This is the way we should cautiously post on forums because often at times we're responsible for our words. Take it as you're drafting an email to your boss but it's openly send to a list of recipients.

The risk is just as high as blogging. In fact it's has higher participation and the board is actively observed unlike personal blogs which you have authority over its moderation.

Same goes to me. I own a megaupload premium account and downloading stuff with ease.
But if they block even a premium account can do nothing. lol

I guess it only blocks on some areas.

And punish the people who uses it legally? Hell no. DMCA does not work like that, it's much more lenient, and yet strong. Why Malaysia can't do something like that?

Incompetent.

Sometimes streaming Youtube also slow, what for if we use our internet just for surfing internet browsing page like Google? Facebook? Just send a lawyer letter to the person who illegal downloaded material from internet, suppose this is the news came out long time ago. Since they said high network traffic on illegal stuff.

Please complain to the organization which is more powerful then Streamyx, NTV7 got show it last time but i forgot which organization. But I think it is still useless doin such thing in stupid country.

i agreed with you.. what the point for ISP to provides 10MB, 15MB or even 25MB if they doesn't allow us to download stuffs from internet. Keep the internet connection below 4MB and more than enough for daily use and screw all the unify or fiber package available in the market.

Why can't the govt just think of, increasing downloads of prawns may reduce crime rate (rapist)... sometimes got pros and cons ...
whether pros > cons or pros < cons

Just like govt know that ciggy is bad for the rakyats but govt still allow tobacco company to operate because the tax from tobacco company is astonishing
so for govt, pros > cons ....

Savings from blocking file sharing websites as reported in The Star Online business section

Biz article

What is particularly interesting is this paragraph:-

QUOTE
While ISPs could potentially stand to save more from paying high international gateway, an analyst said if the number of requests for overseas content was lower, there would not be any economies of scale resulting in service providers paying higher prices for international gateway.
