My thoughts from the match?

- No player can stop Messi other that Pepe, he's the only one I know who can effectively stop Messi.
- Only Rooney and Park wanted to play football, others just waited to defend.
- Messi played like a playmaker tonight, like Rooney's role for United.
- Barca found a good central defender in Mascherano, replacement for Puyol perhaps?
- Valencia played like shit, Chicharito never gotten into the match, Giggs had a quiet match.
- Thanks for everything Edwin Van Der Sar, you did well, there's nothing you can do about the goals.
- David Villa scored an awesome goal, Messi too. Tho our defence fell asleep for Messi's goal.

Next season, we need some signings for improvements. Heard that Berba went off before the kick-off. Nowhere to be seen. Bye-bye Berba, Van Der Sar, and Scholes!

That's what I meant, that year 2009 we have a good chance because Barca wasn't at the level as this year's team. We blew it as we didn't turned up,

and we had like one of the scariest forward players that year. Ronnie, Wazza, Tevez, Berba. Hence, this United team is better in terms of effort, even

though we don't have superstars anymore.

It was decided in the draw that Barca would play the home side, so United had to wear the away kit.

Berba rumor:

sos: Google "berbatov wembley", many same texts as below:
*
Im guessing the part Berba left Wembley before kickoff was true..but the part where 'Berba met Spurs representative' must be BS..they probably were already on their holidays..and they didnt even know Berba was gonna leave Wembley early..Berba not going up to take his medal is the big evidence he was not there at Wembley..

looks like our midfield lacks the pace and not too comfortable with the ball to play 1on1 against them.

too many back pass then hoof it over the top doh.gif

I think the players only have themselves to blame for the poor performance. They were all being conservative in attack, and only react after the opponent scored a goal. That kinda counter-attack mentality won't work everytime especially we are not playing at Old Trafford. They should control the tempo more and get more possession instead of giving away all the cheap long balls.

When I saw the stat that Barcelona had completed 265 passes compare to the 100 passes we did, that tells the whole story. Mentality wise we are not strong enough to have confidence to play the game in full capability. The lads had no one to look up to in the team that can deliver something out of nothing.

Credit to Barcelona. They have so many world cup winners in the squad who didn't seem to being affected by the atmosphere nor the tensions.

United tried to play football with Barcelona. Bitterly disappointed. Maybe they should've went the Mourinho way. You can't outpress people who have been playing this style of football for 20 years of their lives.

usually players who dont show respect to teammates and SAF will be given the boot from OT. No one is bigger than the club. we'll see if it happens with berba.

It was a game won by a much better team period. Even when we equalized, it still seemed like we are bound to lose anyways sad.gif

Having said that, at least this game was much better. We TRIED to play and we challenged the 'best team of the world' by playing attacking football. That's good enough for me smile.gif

I think most of us here noticed how weak and vulnerable we are in the middle of the park. We do have quality, but its about time we revamped with real quality. If we want to be champions of Europe, we really need to buy.

Currently, there's just no one who could stop Barca. Congrats to them.

Our players looks damn nervous. Ball controls were awful. Barca did well to close down our winger. Valencia only whip in 1 cross iinm lol
