Hats off to Barca, for playing great football on the biggest stage of European club football. I like both teams, but still, my blood is RED. Can't blame the

lads for trying very, very hard to try to stop Barca playing, which was effective for the first 10 minutes tongue.gif . I won't be too harsh to criticize the team

as even Real couldn't stop them in the two legs. For 2010/2011, Barca is the best team in Europe. If anything, we weren't fast enough to counter

attacking Barca. We could see them deploying Masch and Pique deep to stop Hernandez. Anyway, on the sentimental side, we couldn't win the CL for

our great Dutch. cry.gif

Compared this to the 2009 final, this year is definitely better, even though we don't have a superstar like CR7. That year, it was just quite pathetic to

watch. tongue.gif This year, we played more as a team. Next season should be interesting. I want to see Rooney bossing our team. From tonite's match, he

is quite well above the rest of the team mates in terms performance.

From the moment I saw they wear white and not red, that already was a bad sign... Why we can't wear red when we are playing in England, our home soil? doh.gif

It is not considered as 'home' even though it is in England. During the knockout phase draw, it is already pre-determined whoever gets to final, which

team will be 'home' and 'away'. Not based on home country of the team. Losing to a great team is alrite for me. Although it should be more interesting

for United than that. They are not as ruthless as they are known for. Oh well, the summer will be an interesting one. brows.gif

im not sure which part are better, to me seems this time even weaker.
Out-thought, out-passed, out-played and out-classed.

That's what I meant, that year 2009 we have a good chance because Barca wasn't at the level as this year's team. We blew it as we didn't turned up,

and we had like one of the scariest forward players that year. Ronnie, Wazza, Tevez, Berba. Hence, this United team is better in terms of effort, even

though we don't have superstars anymore.

Xavi, Iniesta, Messi is part of the youth team of Barca. So they have a strong foundation already, like we used to have. I think it is time to bring it back

with another generation of local United legends. nod.gif

Adding to the squad would mostly be the reason. Strengthening and adding to the overall quality of the squad, and experienced EPL player. Most likely

the younger forwards would be loaned out again, next season to gain experience. On the subject of squad, another young midfield player wouldn't be

bad. Someone to replace Hargreaves as the cover for the backline. Someone in the mold of Makalele at least. Roy Keane as well but he is on another

level. He was more than just a midfield enforcer. In that case, we could mix and match the midfield trio/duet depending on the tactics, amongst

Anderson, Fletcher, Carrick and Giggsy (we shouldnt rely too much on him next season, could be super-sub blush.gif )

tqvm scholes ....

..... now who will become MU playmaker ????
*
Bel19ve in Anderson. When he is on song, he is at least half as good as Scholesy with the passing. Even the long passing, is quite amazing sometimes.

Anderson just need to play more regularly next season and hopefully no more bad injuries. With players as Rooney, Valencia, Chica and Young (?), we

got pace, skills, trickery, good wing play and eyes for goal in our forwards. Hopefully with enough rest and good pre-season under the belt, the team

would be stronger next season.

gotta sign 2 playmakers this season

1 direct replacement for scholes
and another for giggs

anderson is box 2 box midfield
not really suitable to be playmaker imho
*
Scholesy used to be box 2 box as well. Coming inside the opponents penalty box with great timing to score. So, i dont see any problem to convert

Anderson (who used to be Ronaldinho type of player before United) to become deep lying play maker as well in the future. Plus Scholes was a striker

in his younger days as well. Just saying.
