I have on media server...How do i see the arc on my pc?

Ask your self what u want from a smartphone...

none, others r good, arc is juz a single core, viewing angle is no good, internal storage is small...

this phone sux.But exterior damm nice and sleek.
the memory when startup will be as least 100mb.
I found that sony software sux compared to htc.
HTC wont lag..but the arc will.512mb is not enuf honestly.
Especially android task running at the back.
The arc quality is plasticish but HTC is solid metal and rubber.
Good built quality for htc.
HTC has dolby surround system..The arc sound system=nothing.
When u on the sound max,the arc sound cracks cheaply.
U pay same price but SE quality is shit.The back cover made of cheap plastic.

Dun be fooled by the SONY Bravia Display and 4" screen .HD oso 780p max oni.
HTC overall value wins the Arc flat.

All the pro n cons is a captain obvious to me... if need a speedy gonzales performance and top notch... must have bought your so godly HTC...

on which case? on arc's android phone version or android version?

for arc case, 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 fixes most major bugs..

I have superuser installed from market. Currently on 2.3.2, will the update wipe away all my data and the superuser?

have u rooted ur phone? superuser is useless without root..

ppl claimed the update wont wipe ur data.. im on unlocked bootloader n i cant update with seus or pc companion, so i cant confirm u on tht..

wondering when is the development of rom for this phone will grow

now only cm7 which still unstable..

now thinking this over optimus 2x due to the bigger screen, auto focus video and slim nice design

cant help it, as not many devs r interested in arc..

for now, only freexperia team is making a custom rom for this phone based on cm7.. n the progress is fast, so i guess its ok tho..

superuser seems to be working fine for me without root. Just installed it to try it out. Going to download gingerbreak later. BTW any one tried to lock back your bootloader? Did it work? Cause if unlock and need to send for warranty, its better to lock back the bootloader right?

relock is possible with the guide from xda where it will delete some files in the phone to make it relock back.. its useful if u wanna repair ur phone through seus or pc companion, but the DRM file is not recoverable so eventho u manage to lock back ur bootloader, u still cant use trackid or some apps tht requires the DRM..

im still a bit skeptical bout the warranty, as some ppl eventho unlocked their bootloader, can still manage to claim their warranty.. i guess it depends on wher eu send ur warranty.. n yeah, to b safe better relock the bootloader back...

Lol! This thread is getting funnier by the day. (especially when HTC gangbang the ARC).

Anyway, Thanks Ultima for the Class 10 speed difference earlier on. Great help as I felt that i needed to get a faster class as well.


To the rest of the Haters....

You can ask lots of questions, but really at the end of the day, Don't compare Ferrari (SGSII) and Merc (ARC) , compare what you like and what you can afford.

You can compare dual core, quad core, donkey core.... but if the phone looks like cow dang, then why buy it? If u feel its flimsy, get something else harder.

Preference is the keyword. I still see people buying Symbian phones at sungai wang, why not tell them to get droid or ios since its faster and better than Symbian?

It's kinda rude to come into a thread meant for arc and bash it. I see the same going on at galaxy's thread....

the other i tried to view videos from my phone via hdmi connector...i hate to say it isn't smooth and it is not even HD but I don't really complain much. It is still a great phone overall. Never will I choose SGS2 even if it is free...cheap flimsy plastic.

So many people have their own opinion on their phone.
