How good is the screen on this thing? Seen it once during video playback and its quite ok. Read that the bravia engine thingy only works when viewing pictures and videos?

QUOTE(knuckleballer @ Jun 25 2011, 02:53 AM) Super AMOLED more vibrant thats all IMO. The Arc's screen is pretty decent. I'd say it's pretty good. I ditched my iPhone 4 for this. It'd better be Haha, vibrant colours is important. Since we are using the phone throughout most of the day, staring at a washout, plain and lifeless screen is quite unsatisfying. Arc's viewing angle also seems to be a problem huh? |

When playing games that requires you to rotate you screen alot at different angles, putting the phone on the table and viewing it from an angle, having a bunch of people watching the phone for videos etc etc etc. Its weird to see the screen have such property when sony makes good screens for tv's.
I'll reserve my thoughts till actually get the phone. |

QUOTE(Ultima @ Jun 27 2011, 02:32 AM) have u rooted ur phone? superuser is useless without root.. superuser seems to be working fine for me without root. Just installed it to try it out. Going to download gingerbreak later. BTW any one tried to lock back your bootloader? Did it work? Cause if unlock and need to send for warranty, its better to lock back the bootloader right?ppl claimed the update wont wipe ur data.. im on unlocked bootloader n i cant update with seus or pc companion, so i cant confirm u on tht.. |

QUOTE(xtorm @ Jun 28 2011, 05:23 PM) my experiance from desire hd to arc HTC sure owns in terms of build quality. I have to agree that HTC loudspeaker is crappy, sharp and thin. I like the way the phone feels in my hand too. Just that i dislike the buttons to be too low at the bottom of the phone.camera is better for sure, even without dolby or srs, sound output from the speaker is better also, loud but not thin built quality, well salute htc, nothing comes near them, arc is abit plastic but yes arc do lag some times, a cleaning is need from time to time love the way this thing feels on my hand and is so light in my pocket! lcd wise, the zero gap between the glass and lcd really help, and i believe in youtube there is a screen comparison between htc sensation with its high resolution yet to me it is not as nice arc btw, did you try reading both under the sun? im quite surprise by arc coming from desire hd interface wise, i nvr think i need to do anything abt the arc, theme and all looks nice to me! all i can wish for now is some 1 mod the rom.....make it lighter Anybody notice the screen have some sort of dots that fills the entire screen running vertically and horizontally? Whats that for? Bravia engine tech? Screen wise desire hd uses only LCD which is useless in the sun, you should try Super AMOLED in the sun The interface seems like a launcher i have used before, forgot the name already. Interface lags from time to time. Probably due to the graphics chip. |

QUOTE(asherteoh @ Jun 29 2011, 09:49 AM) I see. Looks like honeycomb pattern. Quite cool.QUOTE(xtorm @ Jun 29 2011, 01:15 PM) i got no dot issues. graphic card is the same as desire hd. Desire HD uses lcd screen only.hmmm tot desire hd is slcd right. arc is slcd too right? QUOTE(Ultima @ Jun 29 2011, 07:51 PM) for the midnight blue owners, did u guys having a hairline crack above the sensor(i think)? i tot its my carelessness tht lead to tht crack but i read from the xda forum, many owners got tht crack.. Anybody experience random reboot on 2.3.3? Sometimes will hang during exiting power hungry games.

If there are themes than it would be interesting. Bored of the blue background theme.
