Anyone noticed the battery drain is faster after the upgrade to 368? I'm using the global generic version with Doomlord's boot image (v4).
Currently, I have about 65% left after using it for about 6 hours and 32 minutes. Previously, I would only hit that percentage after 10 hours or so since I'm a pretty light user during weekdays. Checking from the battery usage, the top items are Display and Mobile standby so I doubt it's any 3rd party app sucking away the power. |

Downgrade to 2.3.2, Gingerbreak it, and OTA update to 4.0.A.2.368I did that for my Xperia Neo. I think Arc could do the same. Just wait for the OTA to be available. |

QUOTE(heinlein @ Aug 12 2011, 09:53 AM) Hi guys! I plan to get an ARC or NEO but I have a doubt here. From the spec, it says "Internal phone storage: 1GB (up to 320MB free)" so exactly how much internal phone storage does it has? 1GB or 320MB? Is it more than enough for heavy apps user? Thanks I only have 285MB free when I got my Arc. I really don't understand why SE put such a small internal memory in their flagship. |

QUOTE(heinlein @ Aug 13 2011, 04:58 PM) =__= 320MB is already bad and now it's getting worse with the 285MB... Maybe I'm not going to buy it anyway... Well, if you compare with SGS2 definitely the spec will blow Arc away but if you want to be different then Arc might be the better choice because many ppl will choose SGS2. A few of my friends already using SGS2 and the exterior looks just like another touchscreen phone for most ppl but Arc will catch other ppl attention. The side silver plastic chrome with curve body look striking and I don't think SGS2 can match that.As for 285MB, yes it is small but if you not a heavy user then it won't an issue. Most apps can be transfer to SD but normally just around 40-60%. If average transfer is 50% then 285MB can be consider adequate. I already install 20-30 big and small apps and still got around 100MB. |

If u r a beginner, u'll download lots of crap apps but in the end u'll realize that they r either taking up memory or running in background sucking dry precious battery juice. Off course u may try out those fun apps but keep those u need only. I've more than 20 apps & i dont even use them all and i still have extra memory for more.... dont worry |

Any suggestion on better phone plans? Good calls, so-so internet. Anything that is worth the price. No Maxis please.
QUOTE(abanglek @ Aug 12 2011, 12:25 PM) get ap set for rm13++ & use celcom or maybe digi (rather than rm14++ with contract from maxis). it's hard to ignore the fact that maxis have shoking bill (for data, & other hidden charges). i think maxis is just for company subsidize line. Could you explain more. I'm actually thinking of changing from Maxis. They charge me like hell, and they didn't even tell me I've reached my limit. 10MB=RM100; ridiculous.with celcom, youtube is breezing fast, okay with other browsing (sometime slow). or if you have streamyx/unifi, celcom have cheapest rm50+ plan (i think 300mb data), just for your widget update or so. but don't worry, celcom & digi just throttle down the speed after data limit reached. |

Hey....lol i am planning to get Maxis.....i know it is kinda expensive but is the speed fast?Cause Digi is seriously slow....you cant download shit....i live in city area somemore.....zzzCould you explain more. I dont think Digi is a good choice....if you wan cheap and good i heard U Mobile is very good.......Celcom good also but price almost the same as maxis. Is maxis Fast???How fast? Digi's fastest is like 387kbps....i've tried both plans.....the rm88 and the one rm10...it is the same thing..... That's the reason i change from rm88 to rm10 for 5 days....cause waste my money....other states i am not sure but if you live in Penang do not get Digi unless you are a very patient guy...... If you think you will use a lot of 3G data better get the phone from Maxis. Otherwise just buy retail.
