Since their sunset around 5:30pm, so i m assume its "evening period" around 4pm, closed same time with us 10pm? Their major shopping complex closes between 9~ 10pm. depend on which zone and day. Also wondering what time they usually wake up, eg work n so on!? Taiwanese working hour just like us, from 9am to 5pm. But most Taiwanese do stay at office until 6pm like that Added on November 17, 2011, 10:33 pm QUOTE(aiyume @ Nov 17 2011, 12:09 PM) night markets close later maybe around 11 or past midnight for weekends. shopping malls i'm not too sure though. for those who like we stay at equotorial country will find uneasy with the sun rise at other country.Added on November 17, 2011, 11:11 am just like i felt weird having sunset at 5pm in taiwan. like not enough day time This post has been edited by storm88: Nov 17 2011, 10:33 PM |

Hi all,
Need a bit of advice....been reading thru the thread but still not sure if I should change ringgit to USD in KL and then change USD to Taiwan dollars in Taipei to get better rates? Current rates are like Rm11=$Taiwan 100 at local exchange. Thanks, Minolta |

Wawasan already out of business since early Oct till now. So right now there is actually no online money changer rate references liao till wawasan get the licensing matter settled.
Anyway, from past experiences, changing to US$ 1st & thereafter to NT$ will save you ~ RM30 for every RM1000 converted to US comparing to direct conversion. If you willing to absorb this losses, just change direct. And anothe rgood option is to withdraw from ATM. you will be charged ~ RM12 to (?) per transaction (Depending on banks)..and the rate is better than Money changers for sure. |

QUOTE(k8118k @ Nov 17 2011, 08:35 PM) Don't make everyone panic. Taiwan and Malaysia and Singapore sharing the same time zone. The earliest you get the sunrise would be around 5am. In Malaysia, we usually get sunrise 6.30am~7.00am (in Penang). This post has been edited by psmalaysia.com: Nov 22 2011, 05:01 PM |

Well I went there in a group of 4. If I refer to my earlier posting..the return train ticket ~ RM80/pax, hiring taxi - RM200/4 =RM50/pax & food very negligible-lah same like KL..~RM5/pax/lunch. So total = RM135/pax
