Thanks lykiat.

I have been out of touch with comics for a while. I have Witchblade, Darkness, Fathom, Soulfire, etc from beginning but stopped after Michael Turner passed away. I like Michael's drawings alot. I even bought other titles drawn by him like Batman, Superman, etc.

Rediscovering them again nowadays and still like Top Cow and Aspen as they produce great work of art.

How about you? What are the titles that you are still following?
*
I follow ALL Top Cow and Aspen comics and now also included DC comics on a monthly basis with some Marvel in the mix. Hadijalil has a lot of 'special' top cow comics, so you may want to check out his list again.

My opinion is to order the latest soulfire cos the art should be good. Depending on what Aspen comics you want, I may have some extras as I collect all their covers biggrin.gif Its rare to find someone who likes TopCow and Aspen as much as me to be honest haha rclxms.gif

Sorry Hadijalil, I already have all those Top Cow titles that you are selling. I am a very very old man and start collecting comics since Top Cow was formed...so you can imagine the amount of comics I have icon_question.gif

I even have those sell out titles like Rising Stars, The Authority, Fables, etc.

Lykiat, talk about collecting extras, I too have so many duplicate copies. Don't even get me started on the variants! Image, Top Cow and Aspen...they really like to issue variants, boy did I waste $$ on them last time. I even have the Museum Editions of Darkness and Witchblade. Not to mentioned, signed copies of Michael Turner's Fathom.

When you suggested Soulfire, do you mean the upcoming Volume 4 of Soulfire by Mike DeBalfo (I checked Aspen website)? I don't know this artist, can't tell whether his artworks are nice? I love great artworks more than storyline.
That's why Michael Turner was my favorite artist. Another favorite artist of mine is David Finch - who did Ascension. Of course, Marc Silvestri is also my favorite.

May I know how much a comic cost (in RM) nowadays? blush.gif

Yea its Mike DeBalfo. He's basically attached to zenescope comics where they draw pretty decent comics of girls, so I'm expecting the art to be decent. Soulfire Volume 3 was not too bad, it started out good but towards the last few issues, the art kinda went down a little, I think the artist (Jason Fabok) got too many other offers from DC - he did Dark Knight and prob some other batman titles.

I guess you're one Top Cow hero, I thought I was nuts collecting all the Top Cow comics but you seem to have a bigger collection than mine. rclxms.gif If you have any special extras, you can always sell or trade them over to me icon_rolleyes.gif

lykiat, I don't mind barter trade with you. Currently I am still digging into my old comics and they occupied the whole of one room and than some. I will try to get a list of what I have and what I want to sell/trade. Hopefully I can trade with you.

arius, glad to know another Michael Turner fan! rclxms.gif As above, my room is a mess now, and I am trying to arrange and organize a bit. There are tons of old comics that I wish to get rid of, and of course there are those that I can't let go...especially Michael Turner's works, and others.

Just to recap a few titles that I have and love (not a complete list)...
Aspen
Fathom
Soulfire
Ewok
Witchblade
The Darkness
The Magdalena
Aphrodite IX
Ascension
Midnight Nation
Spawn
Inferno Hellbound
Crimson
The Red Star
Savage Dragon
The Metabarons, etc...

Some weird titles that I have:
Crimson
Out There
Tellos
G.I.Joe
Tomb Raider
TransFormers, etc (endless list of black hole)

To be honest, I don't really read them, I just buy and bag. I gathered I "wasted" RM50k on all comics and related stuffs like statue, etc. Obsessive compulsive disorder indeed.

Care to share what titles you have? And what you guys are following every month?

If you want to buy TPB's you can try Borders at Queensbay

I don't know if there are any comic store left in Penang. Haven't seen one in ages. Maybe Eric can help you with that.

try to get those ultrapro hardbacks from your comic shop ?

as framing will press the book and sometimes if not done properly the extra air bubble will cause the book cover to warp a bit and stress the book's spine then the staples will be pushed infront towards the cover

Got Grimm Fairy Tales for sales but I am not sure it qualify for horror.

Anyway, horror would be Hellraiser Comics. Haha
