Anyone here read Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force?
It's been claimed as the "most fun/best" ongoing by Marvel right now (alongside Mark Waid's Daredevil & Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men) and this week's issue had a something big happen (deaths & stuff) I feel like i might be missing out because I left the book after the 1st arc. |

QUOTE(SuperMilkshake @ Jul 12 2012, 10:53 PM) Anyone here read Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force? Yeah It's been claimed as the "most fun/best" ongoing by Marvel right now (alongside Mark Waid's Daredevil & Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men) and this week's issue had a something big happen (deaths & stuff) I feel like i might be missing out because I left the book after the 1st arc. Apocalypse Solution was good (#1 - #4) Jump on point at #5.1 Deathlok Nation was pretty good, gave us some insight on what happens post Apocalypse Solution (#5 - #7) Some filler issues here, decent (#8 - #9) Some claimed this arc to be the most epic saga of 2011, The Dark Angel Saga (#10 - #18). this arc is brilliantly written, built upon everything the first two arcs gave us. Regenesis issue 19 gave a summary on what they do. Age of Apocalypse #19.1 is NOT a jump on point to the series, rather an introduction to the new series, Age of Apocalypse. Otherworld arc #20 - #23 is... great and all, but beware, the art is horrible. very hard to tell whats going on. #24 ties up some AoA loose ends from Dark Angel Saga. i love this issue. Final Execution (#24 onwards) is so far a pretty good arc, which builds on stuff the Otherworld arc. Conclusion: I find this series brilliant. Other people might complain that this series is some emotional roller coaster, but compared to some other series on the market that Marvel or DC pushes out, Daredevil, and UXF are pretty good. Wolvie and the X-Men (IMO) has suffered quite a bit due to the AvX event, but still a decent read. |

Grant Morrison Leaving 'Action Comics' And 'Batman Inc' In 2013, No Longterm Superhero Work Planned Afterward
Read More: http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/07/24/m.../#ixzz21hq5ow5e QUOTE I'm coming to the end of long runs and stories I've had planned in my notebooks for years and the stuff I'm developing now is quite different. The "Action Comics" run concludes with issue #16, "Batman Incorporated" wraps up my take with issue #12, and after that I don't have any plans for monthly superhero books for a while. "Multiversity" is eight issues and I'm 30-odd pages into a Wonder Woman project but those are finite stories. I'm not saying that I'll never write superheroes again. It's just that my relationship to them has changed especially after finishing the book and I'm not sure if I want to maintain the same kind of relentless level of production. |

QUOTE(hadijalil @ Jun 29 2012, 08:37 AM) Why getting Spiderman #252 to sign by Stan Lee? Not related much with his work there. LOL... Finally got back and i survived my first comic con.Getting Silver Age books better get in the states since you already going there?? Local Comic Shop have some but a little pricey for some. Earth 638 have some nice ones on the wall...... Maybe you should get 1) Latest Omnibus from Marvels - Avengers..or Fantastic Four... or Spiderman.... 2) Toys/statues to be signed 3) Any of the silver age, some might say it will devalue the book, but some would say it will be more value as personally signed by Stan Lee, although it is not CGC, get signed key issues - Amazing Spiderman #100 , 121, 129, or if you are out of budget, get key issues from recent marvel stuff or variant which you would like him to sign:) I did get Stan Lee to sign my Marvel Masterpiece for Hulk and A poster. It was a good 30 minute session, and he was sitting next to me This post has been edited by ameenskywalker: Jul 29 2012, 11:54 PM |
