Ahaha I have 4X 3G modems + 1X 3G modem router. Can't afford to let them go to waste. Haha. In any case I am quite mobile and P1 is not available in more than 50% areas where I frequent...

In addition, I used AMAX before and my experience with WiMAX technology is not that good - a lot worse indoors than 3G.

Should be okay, It was good there b4 but after the upgrade, i am not so sure, might be better or even worst doh.gif
S2 is good so is Senawang and Sban Jaya.  Era Walk is good, Town area soso only. Senawang Taipan and MC Donald area is the best as there are a pair of twin tower there, i managed to clocked 6Mbps there.

Hi smile.gif
I am new here... I have Umobile, with a huawei 7.2 Mb/s usb modem, a RM40 subscription prepaid.
Since Tuesday I suffer continue disconnections, especially during uploading or doenloading, or watching videos... It seems like during an intensive use of the data transfer connection is cut by their side.
I am in PJ Sek 8. Do anyone around find the same problem? Any workaround?

i have the same problem

seems like no solution for this

i think that they deliberately force disconnect those connection that got continuous large amount of transfer to ensure the average speed of all user is fast enough

it's annoying and frustrating but nothing we can do

after i settle my unifi thing, i definitely will dump it into dustbin just like my previous celcom broadband

I am still not sure what could be the problem. I think it's not intentional on their hand (or it's like they are killing themselves, words spread so fast nowadays). Also it not happens everytime and at certain conditions.
I guess is just a problem they are experiencing, and hopefully will solve soon.
I am still a satisfied customers after tried DiGi, Maxis (The 2nd choice), P1, Celcom...
Let's hope everything will work soon! I will try on daily basis.

Man, U Mobile Customer Service suck big time. Just now the line dropped and I can't connect either using Windows Dialer or Join Air3G. Tried to call them few times and average waiting time is more than 5 minutes. Nobody answered. I mean, if there's no one to answer calls at this time of the day then just say so. Then after a few attempts and one reboot later I was able to connect again. Man, P1, Maxis and Celcom a little bit slow here. I need a new wireless broadband provide.

Update: after last night "black out", this morning seems everything it's working flawlessly!
Good speed, no disconnections. Cross fingers!

i would advice you to try the prepaid broadband with the bundled modem @ rm135 , package= ZTE MF190 Modem + 5GB of data for 30 days+ sim card. PM me if u need it, i still hav 3 pack on hand. I can take your YES dongle as trade in too........(but at current prevaling used price)

hi thank you for the offer, but i want to keep that thing incase the umobile line is below my satisfaction standard. What the difference between a postpaid UB68 and prepaid UB68? isit the USB modem is rented if i use postpaid? data plan valid monthly or 30days? the price for prepaid starter kit is above my budget for this time..
I am checkin out Digi and P1 as well.

YEY, Umobile keep on the track again!
I think last days problems was due to their upgrade!
So I have a question: does anyone know where to find an USB modem supporting 42Mbps? As seen as I am in their coverage area, I would like to fly LOL

The solution is actually the same as smartphone these days... do not set to 2g/3g but set it to 3g ONLY.
that way the line will not dc or change from 3g to 2g which might cause the modem to dc.

my phone have tht problem also so... do try it out and hope it helps u guys.

nowadays, i am using DiGi prepaid internet as a backup instead of UM3G
not bad for a rm100 for 100 days, quota 3Gb and max speed DL/UP = 384kbps/384kbps

it would be too good if my problem was as simple as the 2g/3g interchange problem, sadly, it is not
it is really too weird like they are doing something behind this
i cannot use youtube, cannot use skype, cannot update my antivirus, cannot do anything as long as it needs continuous data transfer
