im using umobile rm28/month internet, just for pure internet (99 min calls left, 30 smses left, haha), a week left before have to renew, up to now, i think i've used more than 1gb of data n for me, im quite satisfied with it.. yeah, i know the disconnecting and no active data transfer problem, but i can live with that, as long as im paying a flat rate every month..

streaming youtube video is very slow, but downloading it using jdownloader, i can get up to 15kb/s after quota speed..

dont tell me that they think this is a good solution for their kind of fair usage policy, come on, it's really sucks and annoying
youtube and skype totally cannot use, even my antivirus update have to keep retrying for many time
i cannot bear anymore of it, frustrated

Signed up for their RM28 mobile internet almost 3 weeks ago, been using it on my android phone without problem.. until last Saturday I found myself couldn't access apps (that requires a google acct, e.g. youtube, facebook) anymore. 3G was on and no prob if using browser, but it just won't allow me to access those apps anymore. This is the error i received: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server".

Thought it's my phone/android problem so I tried various methods including removing Sim card and putting it back again, even performed a factory reset!

It's the same.. so changed the Sim card to Maxis and the problem just disappeared! I managed to add my google acct and as thought I could change back to using Umobile sim card, the problem just emerged again.. now i'm pretty much confirmed it's Umobile causing this problem!

I spent few 4 good days figuring all kinds of workaround including a factory reset only to find out that it's all a waste of time! Trying to call Umobile customer service for days but no one's answering.

Now, what should i do? Switch to Digi? or keep trying until someone answers my call... Anyone here has the same kind of experience with Umobile?

Should be okay, It was good there b4 but after the upgrade, i am not so sure, might be better or even worst doh.gif
S2 is good so is Senawang and Sban Jaya. Era Walk is good, Town area soso only. Senawang Taipan and MC Donald area is the best as there are a pair of twin tower there, i managed to clocked 6Mbps there.

Hi pips, i wanted to try this BB service. I am using YES dongle and i havent do my 1st reload yet, gona expire next week..
i got a few questions..

1) Do i need to become a Umobile subscriber inorder to use UBroadband? i read the Umobile FAQ section; according to the U broadband general FAQ num 4, it says i have to be 1. How much need to pay and wat are the T&C?

2) I wanted to get MB68 Postpaid. I read the bundle comes with the USB modem. Why this thread FAQ show u get SIM card only and need to purchase USB modem from dealers? I check out promo section, but it only shows Galaxy Tab promo..

3) What is the total payment upon registration? It says RM100; or RM200? (include the 1 time activation fee RM100)

Did i missed anything or i read too much? icon_question.gif rclxub.gif Thank you

Dumped U Mobile aleady today. And looks like I wasn't the only one facing connection problems there - there was a Mat Salleh there who brought along his laptop to demonstrate.

Just signed upfor DiGi Explore 10GB for RM 88 per month in its place
