to get the HSPA+ speed,do i really need to have a HSPA+ enabled-device or I will just get the speed without that device?

currently,i'm using xperia x10 that could gain max 7.2Mbps in HSDPA or HSPA network.that's mean,i will not get above 7.2Mbps speed la?

 .btw,i live at seremban town area.the 42Mbps coverage area  just waiting for my UB40 to reset this early september.btw,for postpaid broadband,is it the speed after being capped is still 128kbps just like prepaid broadband? |
