That's good because you don't want spams and unnecessary ads coming to your phone.

It's a blessing not to have access to those 3xxxx numbers. You want to sell use those services go do it with Maxis or Celcom.

What about those pin numbers send out by banks?
Anyone having problems with that?

Spams are not nice I know, but my concern is those SMS that we needed are those 5 special numbers..

Digilife,

I started to see there "UNLIMITED" when searching for the U mobile prepaid broadband packages. You have any idea what is the speed if it is being throttled? 128kbps as well?  unsure.gif
*
128kbps of U mobile is faster than 128kbps p1 for sure,..

Hello fellow forumers.. I have a problem here with U Mobile.. Last month I used up my 5GB quota (subscribed to MB68) and they throttled down my speed.. After the expiry, which is 2 weeks ago, I renewed my subscription (MB68 again) but my speed is still throttled. I got around 112kbps download and upload. I thought they will take time to reset my speed but until now, two weeks already, my speed is still the same. very2 slow. I called CS 3 times but the answer is always 'wait'. Just now got fed up and called them and scolded them. But still, same speed. Why is it so hard for them to just reset it? Anyone facing this problem? how to tell them to reset my speed? Its been 2 weeks with this same crappy speed and I couldnt take it anymore sad.gif

You are having problem exactly like what I had. You can check my prevous post and other's reply on that.

1. Well, you need to put on a thick face and call them EVERYDAY until they give the back the normal speed. That's what they want, you just give what they want. They want you to bug them everyday becoz they enjoy listening their customer scolding, they even record your scolding so they can do repeat listening. Welcome to Umobile Club.

2. I am serious about my first suggestion, you need to call them until they give back the normal speed. But your best choice it to get a second SIM card to rotate. PM Digilife for the tips.

3. I find out myself that when your 30 days expire, do not immediately re-subscribe, you will get the trottled speed. Wait for about two week after expire then you will get the normal speed when you re-subscribe. Weird huh? Welcome to Umobile club.

Those are among those thing you need to expect when you become a Umobile club. member.

P/S: I am really pissed off when writing these. Talk about that later.

If u plan to subscribe MB40/UB40 pls make sure tat you only hav enough credit to subscribe cause this MB40 will utilise you extra credit once you breach the 2GB quota and its quite costly to use too, simply mean its Pay As You Use after the 2GB till the 30 days cycle ends sweat.gif
On how to make sure u hav just the require credit , buy FLEXI E Reload to get ONLY the required amount. Pls remember you will also get 15% reload bonus if u topup rm30 and above

UM CSO sucks, I too scolded them abt my quota and its better to use 2 different MB68 sims and let the "first one die naturally" after the 5GB . usually after abt 7 days it will be reset back to "normal" when it expires

Eh, I thought the MB40 plan no extra charge after reach the 2GB. Only the FUP apply, means the speed will be throttled?

after you finish your 2GB , u still can continue with the high speed but is PAY AS U USE. u will be charge in every kb u use,..

throttle speed only apply to those unlimited plan,.. like MB68 or MB128 ...

in MB68 or MB128, when u finish your 5GB/15GB, your speed will be throttle and no extra charges,..

The old UB40 is like what you have described, pay per use after reach the quota.
But the new MB40 seems to be no pay per view charge according to the u mobile website..
I'm talking about the post paid plan, is there any difference?
