These guys are hard to keep in long term if you don't have proper aquarium.

Mine around 1.5 years already.

Most of them already lost the fresh green look.

I put them in those plastic display box covered. Changed water every 1-2 weeks, wash them everytime. Put abit of salt, gave some sunlight, sometimes turn on aircon.

Don't have the luxury to put them in fridge.

When they turn brownish green on some part i trim it become fresh green. Then few months lose the green again.

So if want long lasting better invest in a proper aquarium. They need the CO2 & constant filtering & lighting is better.

I only changes water once a week and only gravel and coral stone in the water. i notice it turn brown on the part where it touches the stone. and it happen only to 1 marimo.

i split my giant marimo into half and it lay flat....so i tear it into 2 and roll it into 2 medium marimos....
at 1st the giant marimo looks a bit apart in the middle...when i washed it the middle part will loosen up...so i try to tear it and it came off easily....
now it doesn't look round....how to make it round???

No! If it has any tension it's going to squeeze the marimo flat. Use string instead, much gentler.

Here's my marimo, my sis name it Animo~
Played with it by placing it in different places.
I noticed that it has small patch of "fur" scraped off, had me worried.

Add me in! Just got 2 giants and 2 nanos from Lee Yun, gonna give 1 of each as a present and only keep 1 of each with me!

One question thou, closed or open top, which is better?
Don't have any other aquatic creatures with my Marimos.
