a question to all marimo lovers and experts out there!
1) is it possible that marimo shrinks in diameter size? i've been playing around with my marimos like taking them out for massage and compressing them into round shape. 2) i start to realize that water in bowl does not last long as after 4days, it will start to smell... condition of marimo: all healthily darkgreen please advice. |

QUOTE(leeyung @ May 21 2012, 09:24 PM) 1)If you compressed too hard, the marimo do shrink in size at that particular moment but after a period, it will back to its normal size, advisable no too squeeze/compress the marimo too hard. Gently and soft squeeze for cleaning will do. icic...2)Darkgreen =healthy = still alive hv lots to learn about aquatic pets m searching for one small nice aquarium m gonna get sum longkang guppies too but here longkang so dirty... no fish can survive! |

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Sep 3 2012, 11:04 PM) if you are mixing them with your marimos, i dont recommend mixing them with crayfish, thanks luqee, i appreciate any feedback from the pros around me as im a newbie in aqua pet carethey like to eat everything from my experience, even my hard bogwood glass shrimps on the other will nibble bit by bits, but in my opinion, they are eating those black/grey/brown stuffs you noticed when you are washing your marimos. If you insisted on getting them however, cherry shrimps and CPO/dwarf crayfish is the best. Also, their colours really show some contrast between those greens~ just my 2 cent so fascinating! i will heed ur advise and get the cherry shrimps and dwarf crayfish. i read that cpo may get aggressive against each other and some sneaks up behind and attack guppies true? i have 4 dragon guppies too Added on September 4, 2012, 12:03 pm QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Sep 4 2012, 05:06 AM) all thanks to thread starter then we do our very best to keep our marimo family happy, healthy and most importantly, ALIVE! hahaha brought in 2more members they very interested in aquascaping x marimo~ This post has been edited by jess7: Sep 4 2012, 12:03 PM |
