QUOTE(kpchoo29 @ May 27 2011, 12:54 AM) They repaired it pretty quick... time mostly wasted on shipping...It is almost 1 month since I send my laptop... half month is wasted because of shipping to Mucro using the Pos Parcel, damn slow! Didn't even send the laptop to the KL service Partner... I troubleshoot it myself with the sager techsupport, then confirm need RMA... Issue was with the GPU (6970M)... |

QUOTE(kpchoo29 @ May 27 2011, 01:12 AM) wow 1 month is pretty long..who cover the shipping fee? Mucro said that they will reimburse the shipping fee from Malaysia to Singapore...Never thought of asking KL service partner directly send it to sager(no need go through mucro sg)? Then, they sent it to Sager US which took only couple of days to arrive via DHL... Email both Sager and Mucro at the same time... Sager confirmed that it is faulty and need to send back for RMA... so, skip the KL service partner... So, I send back the Laptop to Mucro Singapore so that they can send it back to Sager US... From there, I REGRET using the Pos Parcel mail... which took about half month to arrive to Singapore! total cost is RM39.50... Should had use atleast the PosLaju International Delivery... which I think it cost about RM100~... WAY faster... http://www.pos.com.my/pos/services/fast_ma...tional/ems.aspx This post has been edited by Amal: May 27 2011, 01:22 AM |

QUOTE(kpchoo29 @ May 27 2011, 01:42 AM) Only cover MY to SG? What about SG to US? I thought mucro labour warranty means cover all shipping cost. I don't think Mucro covers shipping fees from SG to US if you are talking about the warranty terms and conditions.For Amal's case, he receives a faulty laptop, so they are willing to replace for him and cover everything, but after that within the warranty period, anything happens, all referred to the warranty terms and conditions. For small problem: Regional Carry-in (labour) for Mucro means you send it to Mucro and you bear the shipping cost. (If you are staying in Singapore, you carry your laptop to their office and they fix it for you) SG Onsite means if you are in Singapore, they will go to your place and fix it for you. (This one is only useful for those staying in Singapore) For big problem: From SG/MY to U.S., you bear all the shipping cost. This post has been edited by jimmykvt: May 27 2011, 02:01 AM |

Got my 8150-S1 recently. Haven't tested it out yet properly as I am still away on holiday but can't wait to unleash the beast.
P.S. The rubberised body of the laptop is OMG horrible, feels like an escalator's grip almost. Haha. But it's a small matter. |

Ok, i gonna upload some pictures regarding my beast, well, not really 100% pimp yet but in the progress on doing it. Enjoice~
![]() This is how the inside look like. It can have 4 fans but since i only bought one graphic card, so only one slot without fan. ![]() This is how it look like when i put back the cover. ![]() This is how big the power brick looks like. ![]() This is how the sager power brick compare to a acer 65watt power brick. Bout 4.5x size of acer power brick. ![]() This is how i pimp my top cover on my lappy. After using all the available carbon fibre sticker i have, i manage to pimp the top cover of the lappy only. I dun have enough to pimp the keyboard, so no picture on the keyboard ![]() this is how a 14inch lappy compare to 18.4 inch. ![]() This show how thick my lappy are, bout twice the size of the acer lappy. Ok, tat's all the picture i can show until i receive a new carbon fibre sticker and stick on the keypad. |

@jimmykvt
I took out the keyboard from the unit and clean it using cyberclean or blow the dust off. @mcbarney666 List updated. You can apply a carbon fiber sticker on the palm rest, like I did on my model @rickysim84 The power brick is slightly bigger than NP8150 You mean applying the sticker on the palmrest? XD |
