I am not sure what kind of screen is this also.
But my suggestion is: Always go for stock screen.

@Prince J

Well, I already reply to XoticPC that I insist on my 95% gamut screen based on my order.

I chose XoticPC because of its reputation, but another main reason was that they are are offering this 95% gamut screen, if I were to accept anything less, I would have just ordered it from you or our Singapore reseller in the first place, which is so near to me and I will not have to worry much about the warranty.

and their reply ....

Sweeann –

Thanks for the quick response. I will add you to the list of the 95% panels. If we run into a situation where we will not have enough panels and there is going to be a delay I will let you know from there. I will keep you posted as this develops.

Mine comes with the stock screen, didn't customize a lot except for the CPU and GPU upgrades, that's why it is faster.

Hmm..., I guess a lot of resellers should be running short on the 95% LCD panel.

if I'm correct

vsync - vertical sync. just to avoid screen tearing by sync the graphic card refresh rate (or i think more familiar to game apps) to screen monitor. So your FPS would be limited to whatever your monitor refresh rate is.

carbonytte is right.. If vsync ON, FRAPS will display 60fps fixed throughout the game. Turn it OFF, FRAPS will display the correct fps, but you will experience a screen tearing. smile.gif

u turn on got screen tearing? that's weird haha.

screen tearing happens because of overlapping frames which happens because graphic card is producing more frame at the frame buffer. hence the overlapping, and you see the display like half distort a bit (usually the upper half and lower half not same).

19.6 is much better compared to Metro 2033, 8 fps lag sudey. I think Witcher 2 also like 8-10 fps on ultra setting (I din turn on FRAPS but there was serious lagging issue at the maximum graphic settings).

is it okay to have your cpu burned up to 90 above degrees?coz every time i played games it just heated to the max...

btw when i watched movies the cpu temp is about 55 to 60
it sounds abnormal to me....i thought sagers have good cooling.

now i cant play games coz im afraid that it going to burn.. sad.gif

np5160....

I think I know what's the problem you are heading, please make sure you install the GT540m driver properly, the autoswitching maybe is not working, so you are actually using your cpu which is i7 2630qm to play games. That's why the temperature goes up a lot.

I have another buyer faced the same problem, but it is solved already. There is a button around keyboard to switch to dedicated graphic card, make sure you switch on when you are playing game.

Hope it will help.

Thank you.

Average 56++ fps with vsync off and fan at full speed.

before you apply the sticker, make sure you use a3 paper, sketch the measurement and then cuts the sticker. That's my way to apply the sticker. biggrin.gif

but the measurements for the HDMI and the other logo was quite hard to copy to. Maybe you need a trace paper as well.

I left a big hole at the HDMI and the other logo, only after applying the main sticker, I started putting additional sticker in between the logos, so a bit cacat sikit la. Only the Core-i7 I was able to trace successfully.

Well maybe it could also be because I was using 2x A4 paper haha
