w00t. loving the latest whql GC driver.
quoting from NBR forum : Seems that since 270.61 Clevo cards are automatically detected. So no more hassle installing GC driver. not only that, 3d vision is auto installed as well. So now only need an external display monitor with 120Hz, and also the 3D glasses Added on May 22, 2011, 2:20 pmnow everyone is into carbonfiber as well. bought mine through this link. they send to you using Skynet. bought 3x1, but got some extra enough for 1 more (i only stick at the palmrest section, din bother sticking extra at the back of laptop screen) This post has been edited by carbonytte: May 22 2011, 02:20 PM |

if u want to stick on back of laptop as well, i suggest going for 3x1. never wrong to have some extra of the sticker at the end of the day, better to have extra rather than cursing yourself in the end for not buying enough

QUOTE(Pewufod @ May 25 2011, 01:05 AM) sounds like a good idea I'm not sure if we can find 2.5" optical drive external enclosure, the 3.5" one is easy since it is swappable with either HDD or ODD.maybe the only way to do it is by using a SATA-to-USB cable which usually cost around RM10-20 This post has been edited by carbonytte: May 25 2011, 01:08 PM |

QUOTE(cryogenist @ May 25 2011, 10:04 PM) try to get one from laptop accessories reseller. then try changing it yourself? I believe the manual might give a hint on how to do, else try at NBR (saw some threads on changing the screen manually). I'm waiting till I get to the States in the coming months and buy from there instead. might be cheaper from here Added on May 26, 2011, 3:33 am QUOTE(alucard31 @ May 25 2011, 11:25 PM) I have been experienced a weird problem though... Use stock also no prob. Still got maxed out 4Mbps TMNet speed. The only problem is that I need to manually set the bluetooth adapter everytime I booted the laptop (since I'm using bluetooth wireless mouse)The stupid Windows Live Messenger keep crashed even I do a clean removal and re-install Windows Live Messenger 2009, it still crashed... by google search the .dll file that stated cause for the crash.. it seems like it's the Bigfoot Networks software caused it. So anyone of u guys if happen want to get a new one from Sager.. Just choose the Intel Wireless N card will do.. This post has been edited by carbonytte: May 26 2011, 03:33 AM |

if I'm correct
vsync - vertical sync. just to avoid screen tearing by sync the graphic card refresh rate (or i think more familiar to game apps) to screen monitor. So your FPS would be limited to whatever your monitor refresh rate is. |

u turn on got screen tearing? that's weird haha.
screen tearing happens because of overlapping frames which happens because graphic card is producing more frame at the frame buffer. hence the overlapping, and you see the display like half distort a bit (usually the upper half and lower half not same). |

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ May 26 2011, 10:13 AM) dirt 3 already out a few days ago. 19.6 is much better compared to Metro 2033, 8 fps lag sudey. I think Witcher 2 also like 8-10 fps on ultra setting (I din turn on FRAPS but there was serious lagging issue at the maximum graphic settings).i perform another testing @1920x1080, ultra. Average fps is 19.6 best choice is use high preset. |

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ May 26 2011, 01:15 PM) Average 56++ fps with vsync off and fan at full speed. but the measurements for the HDMI and the other logo was quite hard to copy to. Maybe you need a trace paper as well.before you apply the sticker, make sure you use a3 paper, sketch the measurement and then cuts the sticker. That's my way to apply the sticker. I left a big hole at the HDMI and the other logo, only after applying the main sticker, I started putting additional sticker in between the logos, so a bit cacat sikit la. Only the Core-i7 I was able to trace successfully. Well maybe it could also be because I was using 2x A4 paper haha |

the difference are sometimes better, and sometimes worse compared to 460M at notebookcheck.net
however note that 560M is still not uploaded there, so I'm doing apple 2 apple comparison using certain games based on Amal's pic and notebookcheck.net result (Note: 460M vs 560M) Crysis 2 (High Preset): 53 vs 46.7 Mafia 2 (High Preset): 54 vs 40.6 Metro 2033 (High Preset): 29 vs 37.2 Starcraft 2 (High Preset): 63 vs 85.1 |

yep. that is something not known.
the only way to really know difference is when notebookcheck.net releases their scores. |

i haven't been here for quite some time.
anyone knows where to get a GTX560m card? Neither RJTech nor mxmupgrade got it, and 580m is just too pricy. Of course, another choice would be HD6970 which is about 550 usd but I'm not sure which is better though, 560m or HD6970. Added on September 2, 2011, 8:18 am QUOTE(leonardtan2 @ Sep 1 2011, 07:17 PM) Lol...Having problems with my dad now on purchasing the machine. He said RJtech is not reliable cause the website shows this small building .... just cause of that he said not reliable. Lol. Guess thats understanding cause his scared of shipping out 3.9k worth of money to the states. Sigh. Someone help me stop my dad from being so paranoid. Tell your dad that RJTech doesn't manufacture the laptop, Clevo are the ones who manufacture them. That is why the store is small. If anything goes wrong, RJTech will send your laptop to Clevo to be fixed, and I think you might get Clevo warranty as well as RJTech. This post has been edited by carbonytte: Sep 2 2011, 08:18 AM |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Sep 2 2011, 12:48 PM) Format and tell us how it runs again. oh, how much then? heheWhat makes you think the ram is the culprit? Did you overclock your ram? What ram modules you have? Added on September 2, 2011, 12:54 pm GTX460 to GTX560, it is not really an upgrade. GTX460 to HD6970, it is an upgrade. Check with Sager whether HD6970 is compatible with your notebook or not. Wanna buy my GTX485? well actually I'm in US now. That's why I'm thinking of a GFX upgrade. I guess it should, since the physical form factor of 8130 is the same as 8150 (P151HM1 and P150HM), but I guess just need to buy the 180/200W power adapter. hey guys.
need some input for these questions here : 1) does the bigfoot network killer wifi adapter support bluetooth as well? 2) how much performance gain could i get going from the stock ori wifi+bluetooth adapter to bigfoot network killer. i'm thinking of doing some minor upgrade to my laptop. now i'm in US so should be quite easy to get the stuff, especially on amazon |

thanks TS.
oh. sacrifing bluetooth capabilities is something i'm not looking into since I'm using bluetooth based headsets. although, yeah i could get some usb-based bluetooth adapter as alternative to having bluetooh capabilities, but that's gonna cost more. haha. what about changing to Intel's then. I see the price isn't that hefty, so what's the difference changing from original to Intel's? |

you can actually clean the heatsinks yourself.
a number of items might affect your laptop temp. try giving some manual air ventilation over the bottom of the laptop (usually I just put some books at the edge. |

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Sep 26 2011, 10:45 AM) I can't comment about that part since I upgrade to intel upon laptop purchase. But the performance depends on what kind of router + internet you're using i concur. thing is right now i'm thinking already using the 4Mbps tmnet, and might be upgrading to UniFi soon (since I just got call from TMNet saying that my location is now supported by UniFi).and right now I'm in US for a couple of months, with the speed I'm getting at my hotel right now it kinda make sense for me to upgrade my wi-fi card LOL. just not sure if I should let go of the bluetooth availability by going for Killer Networks, or probably do a quick upgrade to Intel 6230 and hope for better performance haha. of course, having WiDi on the Intel card is kinda fun-to-have thing. |
