Hi all,

Going to change my tyres this Saturday at Klang... Called the shop for the price.. 205/40/17 Hankook S1 Evo.. RM 285 per tyre!! So damn cheap compared to the price I bought last year for RM 300 each..

I asked whether there is S1 Evo 2 for sale... He said don't have and never heard of it..

Any shops in PJ / KL / Klang have S1 Evo 2 for sale?

Planning change all 4 tyres if it is RM 285 per tyre..

I have been using S1 Evo for 2 years... Damn good for the price.. The thread is damn "ganas" as well smile.gif

Maybe afte S1 Evo2 out, they start producing S1 Evo with smaller size  hmm.gif

hi guys, about time to change my falken ze912 on myvi R14. I like these tires alot compared to the stock NCT5, it gives much better cornering but it does not last long. only able to clock 35k with them.

im doing sales so 1 month have to travel about 1800 - 2300km so i need long lasting/durable tires but do not willing to lose much on performance. dont need fuel saving tires like XM2, unless they are durable. but i find it a bit bouncy on my sister's city.

Hankook V12 or Yokohama Cdrive2 ? or others ? Pls suggest. =)

I just changed to Yokohama C Drive 2 ( 205/55/R16) my comments are..

1) Comfort, very good, I like it, most likely coz it's 55 series

2) Noise, good enough for me

3) Dry grip --- sucks big time, it's the most unstable tire I've ever used, even cheaper stuff can perform better IMHO. Since using it, I'm afraid of most corners, passing heavy vehicles on the highway, uneven road (coz car bounce everywhere)

4) Wet grip --- no chance to drive in rain yet, but judging from the dry grip, it will probably be the most dangerous tires I've ever used in the wet.

got pics ?? otherwise maybe wrong advise you get since we all cannot see for ourselves.

I think your tire guy will "tampal" the inner side of the tire to reinforce it and plug any leaks you have around the tire.

Good day Sifus,

Im looking for 225/4/R18 inch tyres which comes with excellent comfort+silent features. So far the recommendation I gotten from the tyre shop are Michelin PS3 and Dunlop Veuro VE302. Continental is out of my budget though pricing nearly RM1k per piece.

Would need some guidance from you guys. Many thanks!

As what I have been thinking which one to buy on previous post, I have decided to go for Directional 5 instead of MaxContact 5 as I wanna try UHP tire. Here is what I have feel so far

This feedback is based on Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 - 195/50/R16 VS GoodYear Eagle F1 Directional 5 - 205/50/R16

1. More comfort and quiet, the yellow line on road, cracked tar road, and uneven road, just feel it has been soften and less harsh. Maybe it is still new? GF felt it too, plus point tongue.gif
3. Better high speed corner, tried on a long bend on highway, usually go with around 120km/h as quite much rolling for me to go further, max 130km/h I guess? But this time I go 140km/h, significant less rolling and I have the confident to go further!
4. Thread design is cool biggrin.gif
5. Steering response is much better, it goes where I point it to go
6. Accleration sucks. I tried to weight the tire with my hands, definitely heavier than conti, now have to suck it up with poor FC and acceleration I guess sad.gif

Price? You can get it for RM350 for this size around klang

Others like wet condition are yet to be tested. Will post my feedback on wet soon

Thanks for reading notworthy.gif

Hi sifus,

time to change my tyres. Went around asking for Hankook's tyres, i use V12 previously and i love it so i plan to change to Hankook as well...

but then the same shop is asking me to change to V2 and claim it is better without much noise compared to V12.... V12 appears to be more expensive a bit... about RM250 and V2 is about RM225... (price quoted from different shop though)....

i think my tyres is 15 inch...195.....

Any comments on V2 vs V12? As in, V2 indeed is the cheaper version, but better?

Thanks!
Chumpy

V2 got 500 thread-wear rating while V12 got 280 thread-wear rating.
If you want to save money, get the V2, but for more grip, V12.
