Has anyone tried Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 (K120) yet?

From its website, it seems everything is better then Ventus V12 evo (K110):

Just changed my tyres yesterday, size 205/55/16 regular tyre shop recommended a new model from Dunlop, Formula D05, very limited infomation online, price was pretty good at RM270 per tyre, after trading in my old Champiro Bax 2 it was down to RM240 per tyre.

I've did quite some research, initially was aiming for the michelin PS3, BS GR100 but in the end settled for this as I had some other plans to upgrade my car performance. Initial reviews is that it's much more silent but need to drive more for further reviews.

Read through the thread, you may be able to find 1 or 2 recommendation suitable you. Tyres are personal stuff, you need a budget frame(price range), purpose. For me, I always looking for something below RM200, hence I will only recommend Achilles ATR series of tyres. More grip, more noisy then it's Achilles ATR Sports. More comfortable with good wet traction, Achilles Platinum. Looking for long lasting, good mileage, fuel saving, then it'll be Achilles ATR Economist. All these tyres are around RM150 range. Some said Indonesia tyre useless, but all my cars running on them with no problem at all. They served their purpose.

Trust me, in the end this is an ego challenge thread. People will defend their brand to the death, just like I defend Achilles. You will not be able to find your answers here. Know what you want is more important, once decided then only come here and ask for which shop to go nod.gif If you're in KL, please proceed to Jalan Ipoh, our LYN preferred tayar guy nestum

1 last thing though, if you're looking for a tayar that doesn't utilize it's thread, after 4 or 5 years on the road it will still look alot like a brand new tayar, then I rekomen jiu bai CIBAISTONE CYNERGY M-5 notworthy.gif The tibai tayar probably will outlast the kar... grip wise... sorry la no komen laugh.gif

Hi Experts,

Need recommendations.

Size: 205/55/16
Price: <Rm300

Currently on N8000, great performance tyres, just doesn't last though. Seeking other alternative. Recommendations appreciated.

Thanks

It's from an OST (original sound track) for a show (Aldnoah Zero) that's about Earth and Mars (whom people are also humans that migrated there) at war with each other.

Humans just love to fight, with or without reasons, i guess. sad.gif

Dunlop formula d01.

Been using 3 years, still look like new!! Excellent grip for wet condition.

Amazing performance and below rm 200.

Tempting to do so, the valve seal seems pretty bad nowadays. Within 5k km, I can't even see any oil on the oil ruler. During oil change, only about slightly less than 2 litre drained out doh.gif

Hey guys, im changing my satria 1.8 rims from 16" to 15". appreciate some recommendations for something <200 per donut. i guess the tyre spec would be 195/55/r15.

my priority is grip obviously as i drive quite spiritedly. would be good if the there isnt too much noise as well.

i was previously using Toyo T1R and NT5000. both not too bad but would like to try something different.

so far i think the yoko a-drive and ATR sport fit my requirements. any thoughts?

atr sport maybe, a drive definitely no. *MAYBE* a drive r 1, however with s drive on promotion. you might as well try that?

however you mentioned about noise.
both a drive r1/s drive/atr sport (and even t1r) are on directional tread patterns and those patterns typically/inherited-ly produces more road noise than common asymmetrical tires.

i would say michelin ps3 since it's pretty much the jack of all trades tire and seems to fit your needs, however it won't fit your budget of <200.
in fact s drive is around 210-230 iinm, can pm/confirm with nestum on pricing/further details.
